Hello Mr Lawrence i would like to ask you if possible i finished Prince of Thorns today and I'm just wondering if you intentionally made it short? I will be starting King of Thorns at some point which i believe if I'm not wrong an extra 76 pages was this intentionally please or just simply book one was short. Thank you

Books are the length they need to be. I have written books considerably shorter than Prince of Thorns (One Word Kill) and books that are a lot longer (The Book That Wouldn't Burn).
I intentionally write books that are the length they need to be to tell the story I want to tell. "Short" or "long" are not goals that enter my thinking.

I just want to say how much I ADORE your books. They have an atmosphere unlike any other that feels strangely comforting to be in - I'm always excited to return to your worlds again. I don't know how you do it - weaving such complex stories that are just as deep as they are light-hearted. I thought I may as well ask - how do you do it!? Where do the stories come from?
