Which authors have been most influental on your writing style?

Steve Patton Hello again and thanks for the question! I am not sure I can recall all the names here, but oddly enough it would be the classic authors. My motto is to write something in the old-style but with fresh ideas. Charles Dickens, Jules Verne, Alexandre Dumas, Victor Hugo, Robert Louis Stevenson, and Nathaniel Hawthorne. Those would be my top picks with a lot of "runner-ups" after this. I should throw in Ernest Hemingway, although he is not one of the Classic authors.
