ŷ asked John R. Robey:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

John R. Robey Depends on what the block is. If part of a story is just not working, I try to concentrate on a different part of the story that is. If I'm just plain out of ideas, I curl up in a ball and whimper. ;)

The best way to break a block, tho, is to just keep working. Having trouble writing the prose? Spend some time making notes on plot. Having trouble with who does what when? Make a timeline of scenes.

Having two or three projects going at once is great for this. Sometimes you have to just put Book A down and start working on Book B for a while.
