Just picked up "The Third Bullet" book from my local library. I was wondering, despite this being book #8 in the Swagger series...is this a stand alone book? Or, is it recommended that I read the other books in the series first? I am hoping it is a stand alone book, since this was the only one at my local library.

Hunter's book "Point of Impact" is a prequel to this novel in the sense that the events of "Impact" are referenced in "Bullet" and the whole story of "Impact" puts Swagger in a situation very similar to Lee Harvey Oswald.

I have only read a few of the Swagger novels so I wasn't lost. Hunter wrote it so it can be a stand alone book.
