David, I really enjoyed your new short story Frost. Emotional stuff! What inspired you to write it?

Hi Mike, I'm glad you liked it. I'm not sure I have an answer for your question, but I'll give it a go. I work quite a bit with people who have broken lives, for one reason or another. I think that, perhaps, I process some of what I deal with when I'm sleeping. After waking up one morning with the tag end of a dream I began work on Frost. Although the dream had no direct correlation with the story, it's fair to say that it was the trigger. I hope that's an adequate answer!
