Usha asked Shatrujeet Nath:

Hi Mr. Nath I was eagerly waiting for the 2nd book but just now realised that I forgot the intricate sub plots of book 1 and I don't find any summary or blurb of first part in the sample e copy I downloaded from amazon, so I think I need to wait for 3rd party as well and read all three book together again. So why was this brief summary of 1st part not included in the first few pages of 2nd part to help the readers ?

Shatrujeet Nath Dear Usha, Apologies for the delay in replying --- the last 2 days have been quite hectic. To answer your question... we did debate putting in a summary, but the world over, it is not a common practice in books that are part of an ongoing series. Also, The Conspiracy at Meru has been written in such a way that there are enough references / hints in it to things that happened in Book 1 to jog the reader's memory. So there really is not pressing need to re-read Book 1 so that Book 2 makes sense :-) As you can see from the reviews to the book, those who have read The Conspiracy don't seem to have had a problem connecting the dots. Hope this helps :-)
