Jude asked this question about
Tokyo Year Zero (Tokyo Trilogy, #1):
Having just completed David Pearce's TOKYO YEAR ZERO, I was left wondering if the author was attempting to equate the senseless, mentally disturbed, psychological deeds of the antagonist Kodaira with the disturbing and harrowing wartime actions of Minami.
Does anyone think Pearce was conflating the two characters' actions? War as senseless murder......just as senseless as rape and homicide? Opinions please.
