Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ asked L.E. Sterling:

Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

L.E. Sterling If I can't pick Lucy and Jared from the True Born Trilogy?.... For the past few years I have had a 3-way tie. There is the classic fictional couple that I keep turning back to: Lizzie Bennet and Mister Darcy (Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen). There is something so remarkable about these two. Lizzie is just so darned smart and strong, and though Darcy is an ass, he's also kind of remarkable. Then there is Sookie Stackhouse and Erik Northman (Sookie Stackhouse novels, Charlaine Harris). Like Elizabeth Bennet, Sookie has this really clear, independent spirit that I love so much. Her counterpart Erik is bizarre, hilarious, so wrong and yet so right, and therefore, so hot! And finally, I absolutely love Kate Daniels and Curran "Beast Lord" from the Kate Daniels novels (Ilona Andrews). Kate is a thrilling character -- incredibly strong and smart, yet so vulnerable. I love how Curran is outrageous with her during their "mating rituals," how he is driven by his instincts, in the same way that Erik is driven by his. This makes them imperfect characters--they show their flaws, and I love that about them. I suppose what all of the women characters have in common is their rich intelligence and independence (and in Kate's case, her bloodthirsty way with a sword).
