After re-reading, I am left pondering the usual dialogue that Christians, including myself, tend to engage in regarding the voice of God and the Holy Spirit.
C.S. Lewis shows the impact that the voice of Aslan had on Digory by showing the increased level of self-control and wisdom that Digory had after listening to Aslan's voice. I think C.S. Lewis did an excellent job showing the simple power that accepting a conviction has on ones life.
Aslan gave Digory specific instructions on how to gather and plant the fruit, anything else would have hurt Digory in the long run. I believe the ending of this book shows how simple it is to live the John 10:10 abundant life. Getting caught up in over-analyzing if a conviction is from the Spirit may be the very stumbling block we are seeking to avoid....more

Regardless of some of the rambling in the first few chapters and confusing views on religion, Postman helped me reach a valuable insight into technology. Many of us are not strangers to unplugging for a day or deleting for a time, but after reading this book my awareness of the need to audit the effect technology has had on my thinking has become a daily train of thought....more
