Sooo let’s start off with I loved the first one. It was a roller coaster and lusty. The characters development and how they linked to one another was flawless. Then I began this one with a break between the two and I don’t know if it was the break or just how this one trickled by and I felt detached. Each of our leading characters had cracks and broken pieces that seemed so excessive. The point was driven on how much the boys were broken over seas and I get that but none of it linked that it would become a happy ever after. The broody moody was high and mighty and took enter stage for most of the story which could’ve added to my “this is going to be a long one but I kept pushing hoping it would give me more like it did from the first book. Sadly it fell massively short. I’m glad loose ends were tied, characters got that happiness, and all that Jazz.... but it just wasn’t my favorite.

Omg omg omg...... Literally going to have a panic attack and go into shut down mode until it’s released. This was beyond gorgeous and heartbreaking. I wanted something to stomp on my heart and it did just that. I want autumn and Weston to be together but this book just kept sicker punching you in the throat like it was throat punch Thursday on repeat. Holy cow, the characters have that broody moody thing of poetry and love in the words but this shit is just down right not good for a late night read I didn’t stop once it started I had a few things to do that made me set it down but it lingered thoughts and consumed my mind. Someone please tell me the second book is coming out ASAP that ending is too harsh for a long wait....more

That wasn’t enough to quench my reading frenzy I just embarked on. Holy hell. I’ve never been much of a time travel read or an olden times read but this was so much more. It was endearing, heart ache and mending and add a bit if shredding, the characters are amazing and you just deep into the world created that you too are traveling with Serene and I just can’t breathe now honestly. That ending was a killer. I’m seriously going to cry until the next installment. I’m an utter mess who can’t function at the moment so this isn’t a review. I’ll simply say for the love of every book out there do yourself a favor pick this one up. Then make a store run, grab a box of tissues, snacks, drinks (you’ll probably need a alcoholic beverage at the end), get yourself cozy and just read it. Probably one of the best books I’ve read in god knows how long....more

I’m not sure but the nerdiness I loved! That part was ace everything else character wise, drama wise was all a mumbled jumbled bore fest for me and i feel wronged in someway after reading it... fml Going to dive into something else hope to maybe do a mouth swish and escape from those tragic irritation feelings....more

Seriously flying through the first two wasn’t my intention but it almost has a dash of Tjan feel to it and I’m hook lines and sinkered. The family dynamic is crazy it’s drama a dash of lovey and all around kickass take names kinda characters which are my favorite type. The cliff hangers leave you wanting to cry where is the next one. This was a super spunky rom com, I've not read much from this author but I'll definitely be on the look out for more. It's nice seeing that an author goes outside of a genre and doesn't stick with one niche. Her writing style was smooth and the characters witty and fun, quick paced and lots of laughter which is always good in my book. ...more

This was a whirlwind, crazy cluster of feelings for me. First off I really was beginning to dislike 75% of the characters throughout the book not a good sign. None were relatable and everyone seemed two deminsional and way too much shadiness. Cheating, lying, underhanded drama you name it this had it. Ethan's character grew on me I knew right off he wasn't a bad guy don't ask me how because everything points to him but honestly that's an ameture thing to do to make you think that way. I kinda liked this but kinda didn't I don't know I'm rambling I know but still it's hard to write a review for a book I have not to many good things for. A super quick read, drama intense, with an underlying mystery throughout. Mostly relatable for a more teen oriented reader....more

This was over too soon, I blazed through the first one this afternoon after finding out this was its sequel and I'd never read the first so I had to pick it up before I could read/review this one. And neither was disappointing. They're both amazing. This one tied up the trial and you got to experience how Corey was trying to figure life out after the murder of three of her best friends, it's unimaginable how that would be. It was a really good court read the first was more in depth with characters than this one but that's ok since we didn't really need massive character info dumps in this one. Loved the writing and everything about it couldn't put it down. Definitely a page turner for sure I would recommend this to my reader friends.
Update/edit: in my bliss about the fact this one so good I neglected to rant a small bit on one major part that REALLY irked me. So Corey does go on a coffee "date" with Valerie a new girl she meets through the LGBT group from school and whom coincidently goes to the same therapy group. They argue dramatically at the date over wether bisexuals are a thing and not a myth for straight girls to just get drunk and kiss friends etc. Valerie had her points as did Corey it was a whole clusterfuck but honestly with the way it ended this in a sense falls under the cliche that the guys always gets the girl in the end...they had a moment at a used bookstore in which Valerie tells her most of the LGBT books she's looking at are bad because they are cliche guy gets her and she stays in closet, lesbian suicide, double suicide, murder etc. because back in the day most novels written within these guidelines made it out that if we make it seem that the LGBT community doesn't have a happy ending they won't do it as much etc it's complete bullshit and it's mostly true it's a rare gem to find one in these categories were the ending is happy. Not saying she couldn't be happy with a guy but mostly thought she would end up with a girl. These whole story centered around her being bi and prideful, but really? She mostly checked out chicks the whole time... Whatever floats your boat. Storyline was amazing other then all of that. ...more
