Wow gosh, when was the last time I even looked at this story? At least a couple years by now. So I don't remember much about the plot or characters (I can't even remember if Afton was in college or not, let alone what he might have been going forart?), but I'm sure I'll eventually get back to this...one day.

Huh, it's actually complete now!

I don't know if I'm going to bother rereading it....

Maiko-chan [|] Oh. Hey. You're absolutely right.

I don't even know where I put it on hold at. I'm sorta interested in seeing how it ends but I doubt I'll get to it while I have soooo many other things I'm more interested in reading. Who knows tho, eventually could happen. Ty for letting me know tho!!

I honestly thought that this was abandoned.

Same. I don't remember much of it anymore, but enough to wonder how it's been concluded. I might skim the hell of of it later...much later...

Np! (remember talking to you a bit about it)

P.S. I'm sorry about the silence on PM! I promise that I haven't forgotten about you!! D;

Maiko-chan [|] I think we all thought it was abandoned. Of course there are stories I thought for sure never would be and seem to have been deleted without a trace.

Skimming is probably the only way to go. I think if it'd been updated sooner, like even last year I might have been more interested in picking it up quickly but not now.

LOL don't worry about it, I promise my heart isn't broken (even if you're not the first person to abandon me in pm).

I love how GR isn't adding comments I'm in to my notifications feed; if these didn't pop up in email I'd never know about them.

Urgh, yes. I swear those are even worse. No warning, just GONE!
I don't touch wips at all if I can help it (but sometimes they still get me dammit).

I read the last chapter and some of it came back to me. I honestly don't think I'd be as interested in it as I was when I first picked this up. Although I do still enjoy mafia (and related) m/m stories (was big on yakuza yaoi...I need recs), the writing just doesn't look as good as it did. It also feels like it ends just when it actually gets interesting. IDK. I'll figure it out later.

I have failed you! (you and like three other ppl in my inbox....)

I hope I'm not missing any, I don't think I have my email set up for them D:

Maiko-chan [|] Lol I try to ignore the WIPs and just follow them for potential updates, but sometimes it's hard and they sound so interesting that I just have to. Tho I find it easier to start them if they haven't been updated in a few years and are essentially as complete as they're going to get (or seem they will).

SAMESAMESAME!!!! There are totally not enough mm/yaoi of that genre, it's sad. I don't have many mafia/yakuza recs that come to mind atm except the obvious Ayano Yamane's Viewfinder series which I'm sure you've read. I think H.J. Brues' Yakuza Pride is supposed to be good, it's gotten good reviews at least. I personally love J.A. Jaken's Pathfinder, and Nicole Castle's Chance Assassin is very nice (tho that one is more just crime than mafia/yakuza).

Really? I'm a little wary about reading the rest of it now..did the relationship seem improved with the extra chapters? Or to have ended at a good place for that aspect at least if not the plot itself?

If you are I don't think it's from me? But once again this showed up in my email but not in GR notifications so idk, it seems random...or focused exclusively on convos I am a part of.

Yeah. I also can't help it when it's a fav author, or trope, etc. I get excited and make bad choices. I mean, I'm just scared I'll be forever left on a horrible cliffhanger! I can't stand unresolved stories. It plagues me. I do the same with TV series these days too, because they often cancel a show on me that I was really getting into...

IKR! Especially when I want variations. Ah yes Viewfinder, I'm waiting for more volumes first before I continue it (see above paragraph) My personal favourite yakuza related manga atm is Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai (another incomplete series dammit).
Thank you! I'll definitely take a look at them.

The conclusion was fine. I don't remember enough of the story to comment more :/ but I think it ends in a good place. They seem to end in a good place at least.

What have you done to deserve such treatment! GR and its stupid bugs.
