Surprisingly, it was good. I didn't expect it to be a Mafia book but it turned out something new which i'm not complaining about at all.

H is a Sociopath, he doesn't feel anything except anger so it was great to see him struggling with his lack of emotions and lack of relationship mannerism around h. It was so hilarious to read him say the wrong thing. Even his POV seemed robotic channeling his inner sociopath. 👀 It felt like DARIO IS NINO 2.0 ON STEROIDS. 💦

h is not our typical mafia princess (which i loved by the way), she had multiple partners in her past, she did some stupid things for "LOVE" (don't be like posy, i was posy once and i know). Posy finally realizes that what she have been doing 'pleasing all these men' is not doing anything good for her and she starts anew, fighting for what pleases her instead (which turns Dario crazy and lowkey cute 😛).

I loved their banter, their struggle to understand each other. Specially Dario smacking (not literally) her around without realizing that he is hurting her.

"He doesn’t love me despite my checkered past, my weaknesses, my mess and my desperation. He loves me with them."


It was a safe fun read, i enjoyed it. 🙌
