Steph (angel4492) | 32593 comments LOL! Preaching to the choir, my dear. If it helps any, it did eventually pick up to the point where I was glad when I had time to listen rather than feeling like I had to make time to listen. Hope the same happens for you. I'm guessing it will since you're a fan of HR and I'm not.

Sandra J, Christine Warren bounces all over the place in her chronology of the series, so you don't have to worry if you do too. LOL.

Steph, glad to hear Shaedes of Gray (Shaede Assassin, #1) by Amanda Bonilla will get a run. ROFL

The Dacia people are kind of brought into the IAD series in Lothaire (Immortals After Dark, #12) by Kresley Cole . I would recommend finishing up through his book before starting Shadow's Claim (The Dacians Realm of Blood and Mist, #1) by Kresley Cole

Steph (angel4492) | 32593 comments Yikes. I'm waaaay behind then. Thanks for the rec, Becky.

message 56: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25889 comments Finished Drive Me Wild (The Others, #7) by Christine Warren and it was much better than the last couple.

message 57: by Josie (new)

Josie | 1967 comments Thanks, Becky! I had a feeling that was the case so I'll definitely take your advice. I'm nearly finished Pleasure of a Dark Prince (Immortals After Dark, #9) by Kresley Cole and will be moving onto Demon from the Dark (Immortals After Dark, #10) by Kresley Cole next.

Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 145 comments Sandra wrote: "Finished Drive Me Wild (The Others, #7) by Christine Warren and it was much better than the last couple."

Have you read Wolf at the Door (The Others, #9) by Christine Warren ? Chronologically it should follow Drive Me Wild. Cute story.

message 59: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25889 comments Yep, read it years ago, that's what I mean about the chronology of this series; she's all over the place. It was very confusing for the first couple of books.

Wolf at the Door was the first book published. Apart from the shorts she turned into full length books later.

message 60: by Sandra J (new)

Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 145 comments Yeah, I know. Thank goodness I really don't care if I read a series (any series) in order. And I also don't feel the need to finish a series either. I've been known to pick up a book in a bookstore in a series that I've dropped just to read the end, but then I'm an end reader anyway (And I know that makes other people crazy. What can I say? Works for me!).

message 61: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments Have you been introduced to Jaimie yet? If not. Hang in there. The beginning is slower. :)

message 62: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25889 comments I'm an end reader as well Sandra J, and I drive a lot of people crazy with that. I do it with dvr taped shows too, I think its cause I'm impatient. LOL.

message 63: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32593 comments I've started Shaedes of Gray (Shaede Assassin, #1) by Amanda Bonilla . It's pretty good so far (~ 20% in). I love UF stories with assassins (typically, I mean. I know you're thinking of Elemental Assassin, Miss Sandra) ;) and this one is interesting b/c she can be either in/corporeal. I wanna!

message 64: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25889 comments Oh, what a neat skill, perfect for an assassin!!!!!

message 65: by Barbara (new)

Barbara ★ Finished Love in a Nutshell by Janet Evanovich Ship of Destiny (Liveship Traders, #3) by Robin Hobb Blood Challenge (World of the Lupi, #7) by Eileen Wilks Demon from the Dark (Immortals After Dark, #10) by Kresley Cole The Convicts (Curse of the Jolly Stone, #1) by Iain Lawrence The Big Over Easy (Nursery Crime, #1) by Jasper Fforde Sins of the Flesh (Otherkin, #3) by Eve Silver Body of Sin (Otherkin, #4) by Eve Silver Sin's Daughter (Otherkin Trilogy #0.5) by Eve Silver

Currently reading Deep Black Death Wave (Deep Black, #9) by Stephen Coonts Lost Love Found (O'Malley Saga, #5) by Bertrice Small

message 66: by Gin (new)

Gin | 99 comments I finished up Rosemary and Rue (October Daye, #1) by Seanan McGuire

Next I'll be starting The Greyfriar (Vampire Empire, #1) by Clay Griffith VAIN by Fisher Amelie

Ezi Chinny (ezinwanyi) | 2516 comments Gin, I am curious to see your thoughts on Vain.

Steph (angel4492) | 32593 comments Sandra wrote: "Oh, what a neat skill, perfect for an assassin!!!!!"

Very cool! About 45% in now and some cool new info on her and the main man in her life. :D I think you'll enjoy the book.

Barbara wrote: "Finished ..."

How'd ya like Eve's Otherkin series, Barbara? I enjoyed that one and would've liked more books.

message 69: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25889 comments Loved Third Grave Dead Ahead (Charley Davidson #3) by Darynda Jones

So I should push Shaedes of Gray (Shaede Assassin, #1) by Amanda Bonilla up the list. LOL.

message 70: by Ellese (new)

Ellese (faithfulumbrella) | 60 comments Just finished Crash (Visions, #1) by Lisa McMann , pretty good despite being a YA and only taking me about 3 hours to finish.

Still trying to read Seawitch (Greywalker, #7) by Kat Richardson ...don't know why it's taking so long but whatever.

And I now am anticipating ordering myself the first Stormwalker book as someone on here mentioned and recommended. So thank you for that!! I love UF with a little bit of Native American storyline and characters in it. Gives it a new dimension :D

message 71: by Tiffani (new)

Tiffani Day | 35 comments I'm currently reading new species and I said I wasn't adding anything to my tbr list until Inread everything in it but I was just told about the breeds series and want to add it now I guess I'll never empty that list but at least ill always have something to read

message 72: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25889 comments ROFLMAO Tiffani!!!

I've got over 2000 on my tbr, I couldn't possibly read everything before adding something else!!

message 73: by Tiffani (new)

Tiffani Day | 35 comments Lol Sandra makes me feel a oil better my list

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 9652 comments Lol, I can top that! I only put on my TBR pile the next in line book. If you consider about 5 books per series and I have 900 books in my TBR pile....it should be more like about 4500 books. That is depressing.

message 75: by Gin (new)

Gin | 99 comments Ezinwanyi~Mord'Sith wrote: "Gin, I am curious to see your thoughts on Vain."

I'm at about 75% and enjoying it so far. A lot of cliches, but in a way that doesn't bother me. Maybe because the writing style is so readable. This is one of those books where you feel like you are right there witht he characters. It's a heartfelt story with a sweet romance.

LOL, Val, I generally only put the next one on my list too, unless I already own them.

message 77: by Tiffani (new)

Tiffani Day | 35 comments I have series continuations, book recommendations and things I've read y'all talking about I have only recently joined good reads so I am scared of what my list is gonna look like in a few months

Ninab (Honesty is the Best Policy) | 149 comments Finished Beneath the Surface (The Emperor's Edge #5.5) by Lindsay Buroker - 5 stars. Love this series. First book is free if you've never tried it.

message 79: by Lisa (new)

Lisa | 18 comments Finished Bloodrose (Nightshade, #3) by Andrea Cremer and started Bone Magic (Otherworld / Sisters of the Moon, #7) by Yasmine Galenorn

message 80: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments I am really restrictive about what I put on my TBR now too. I stopped looking to it to pick out a new book. I now right away get a book from a library or get a sampel from Amazon if I want to read it - then I'll add to GR.

I just started listening to Dreaming of You by Lisa Kleypas it is the sequel to and I just finished the audio of Then Came You by Lisa Kleypas

I am also reading Suite Française by Irène Némirovsky

message 81: by Tiffani (new)

Tiffani Day | 35 comments Just finished fury 1st book of new species and now I'm reading book 2 slade

??? How do u book the actual book cover in the post???

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 9652 comments Tiffani, if you look in the upper right corner of the comment box, you will find ''add book/author''. You can choose link to the title or the cover.

message 83: by Barbara (new)

Barbara ★ Hang in the Ezinwanzy. It takes a while to get started but once it does, hang on to your hat. A wonderful Scots romance and then some. One of my all time favorite books (and series).

message 84: by Barbara (new)

Barbara ★ Finished Lost Love Found (O'Malley Saga, #5) by Bertrice Small The Calling (Darkness Rising, #2) by Kelley Armstrong Deep Black Death Wave (Deep Black, #9) by Stephen Coonts A Night Like This (Smythe-Smith Quartet #2) by Julia Quinn Into Thin Air A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest Disaster by Jon Krakauer

currently reading Odd Apocalypse (Odd Thomas, #5) by Dean Koontz Leviathan (Leviathan, #1) by Scott Westerfeld Hot Ice by Nora Roberts

message 85: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32593 comments I don't have all of my TBR books listed here at GR. I don't want/need to see the actual #. I try not to be discouraged by it, but instead just bask in the knowledge that I will never be without a book to read. LOL!

I finished Shaedes of Gray (Shaede Assassin, #1) by Amanda Bonilla and I'm 1/2 through Blood Before Sunrise (Shaede Assassin, #2) by Amanda Bonilla . Watched too much TV instead of reading this weekend, otherwise I'd be finished with it and onto something else by now. Also started listening to Rapture (The Fallen Angels, #4) by J.R. Ward .

message 86: by Tiffani (new)

Tiffani Day | 35 comments Thanks Valerie

message 87: by CyberAlmu (new)

CyberAlmu | 302 comments Steph, I've been thinking on starting the Fallen Angel series. Question. The series is just those 4 books or is it open?

message 88: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25889 comments CA, I don't know for sure, but it was all about the 7 deadly sins, so I just assumed there would be 7 books.

Nothing on the website to say either way. And I'd have to say it was one of the worst websites for a big time author I've ever seen.

Steph might know more as she's actually read them, but she might be tied up for a couple of days.

message 89: by CyberAlmu (new)

CyberAlmu | 302 comments Makes sense, Sandra!

Thanks for answering :)

message 90: by Tiffani (new)

Tiffani Day | 35 comments Re Fallen Angels there's a sight I use to follow my series because they send updates when a new book is about to released and they have book 5 listed as tba 2013, doesn't help much on a release date but it does give hope on more books. As far as a recommendation I loved them. I don't know if you read black dagger brotherhood or not but its a spin off series and takes place in the same city with a few character cross overs .

message 91: by CyberAlmu (new)

CyberAlmu | 302 comments Thanks Tiffani!

I'll definitely will read the series, but maybe once it's finished. I don't like waiting for months for a new book. Patience is not my strong suit heheh

Ninab (Honesty is the Best Policy) | 149 comments Finished Angels' Dance (Guild Hunter, #4.75) by Nalini Singh - 4 stars. Really nice novella in the Guild Hunter series (which I love). This story is a part of Angels' Flight (Angels' Pawn #0.5, Angels' Judgment #1.5, Angel's Wolf #4.5, Angels' Dance #4.75) by Nalini Singh but I wasn't really interested in the other 3 stories so I just picked up the single.

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 9652 comments Finished Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1) by Susan Ee and now don't know what to read next after that book. Good thing the next book is supposed to come out this year.

message 94: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments You are lucky to have only just read it. :) The wait has been painful!

message 95: by Kerstin (new)

Kerstin | 862 comments I've finished Heir to the Shadows (The Black Jewels, #2) by Anne Bishop and Queen of the Darkness The Black Jewels Trilogy 3 by Anne Bishop . What a fantastic series!

Mr. Real (Code of Shadows, #1) by Carolyn Crane is up next.

message 96: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments Oh yes!!!! I cannot wait to see what you think of Mr. Real. I still need to read Queen of Darkness, I own it not sure why I have waited so long.

message 97: by Kerstin (new)

Kerstin | 862 comments I have high expectations for Mr Real, after all I absolutely loved the Disillusionists series.

I've had nearly a 1 year break since I read Daughter of the Blood despite having loved it. Not sure why I've waited so long either, but #2 and #3 I read back to back. It's a great story!

message 98: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments Hmm, maybe I will bump it up. :)

Mr. Real has the flavor of Carolyn Crane but is definitely PNRish.

message 99: by Kerstin (new)

Kerstin | 862 comments You should definitely do that :)

Yes, I've heard it's more PNR, which makes me a tiny bit worried as I haven't enjoyed them as much lately. I'm hoping CC gives it a nice twist though.

message 100: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments Kerstin, I am not a pnr fan. But I loved this one.
