Pollyanna (polly8) Hi I'm Polly, I'm 24 and I'm from England. I love all types of books but paranormal books are a particular favourite of mine. I love Twilight, Anita Blake, Wicked Lovely and Sookie Stackhouse.

I tend to read everywhere, at work, in bed, on the bus etc. I usually only have one or two books on the go at the same time. Other hobbies of mine include cross stitch and singing, I also love my TV series on DVD, recently got Supernatural Season 1-4 so I'm getting through that at the moment.

Something unique about me is that I did voluntary work with lions last year in South Africa, definitely the trip of a lifetime.

Sarah | 1 comments hi, im sarah
I love reading, always have but only started again last year when i accidently picked up a paranormal romance in an airport, i cant remember what it was and realy it wernt that cracky but it got me hooked.

so far ive read
kresley cole-immortals after dark
and the dark hunter series (sorry forgot auther)
Theyre both great but immortals after dark is my fave.
I also read books that arnt in a series as long as it fits the catergry but i do enjoy being able to keep up with old charactors through a series.

One other important thing is that i dont want to read a porno, i like to read a story, however i do like to read adult books where things go further than a kiss.

I tend to read quite quickly eg. do no housework or meals until ive finished the book, which means i love to read anywhere as long as the books good, bath, bed, sofa........anywhere.

hobbies
Im boring im afraid, love tv......heroes and lost and vampire diaries are on my sky+ at the mo.
Also until a few months ago quite enjoyed a glass or two or three of wine but no longer as happily pregnant.

Im now going to order dark lover from the black dagger brotherhood as my next series to read due to the good reviews ive just read on this site.

Miranda Goodwin Favorite Book/Series:
I love reading Anne Rice and I have just started reading the Charlene Harris series. I love books that grab your attention and are able to hold on! If you have suggestions please send them my way, I'm trying to read more these days even though I have less time :)

Favorite Place to Read: Curled up by a fire, or in my bedroom with all lights off and a tiny book light (spooky mood). Of course I love outdoors too.

Any Hobbies (besides the obvious one of reading): I love photography and playing with natural lighting. I am also a new mom - my son is 5 months old, hence not a lot of time for reading.

Something Unique about You: I can breathe fire :) I have this strange obsession with Vampires and folklore. It began when I was very young, I guess I just am enthralled by the world of fantasy and the unexplained.

T.L. Wood (TLWood) | 2 comments Hello to you all! I would like to introduce myself, my name is T. L. Wood and I am a brand new YA fantasy fiction author. I am a HUGE fantasy art, and fantasy fanatic!! Although I am a newly published author, I have been a writer for 30 years. My books are called Eldohr Adventures and the first book in the trilogy is called “Search for the Lost Kingdom and its release was yesterday, March 15th. I was published through a traditional publishing company, and was not self published. I don’t do a lot of reading at the moment, because I am too busy working on my third book in the trilogy. My second book called “Quest for Windsoar is currently in the process of being edited and due out for pre-release sometime around late May or so, with the release date around the fall. My third book “Race for the Zilemstone Cure deadline is due to the publisher’s by year end.
The synopsis for my first book is:
Welcome to the mysterious land of Eldohr, where the land is vast and colorful. This world was once reigned by two royal kingdoms who were friends and allies. Castlegrove to the north, Greengate to the south.

A terrible dragon, Alibastizor, has destroyed all dreams of these kingdoms ruling together in harmony. By casting the wicked Zilemstone spell, Alibastizor has kidnapped the beautiful Princess Zara Shadenbrooke. The princess has a special power, and the dragon means to make it his.

All hope lies with Elrick Darkmoore. With the help of the wise Oracle, and the alluring Elequene, Elrick must overcome his selfish nature, risking everything to reclaim his kingdom and rescue Princess Zara.

If you would like to find out more information or just check out the cool cover art, you can check out my website at:

My site is really new and my publishers will be adding a lot new updates to my website soon where they will be linking my blogs on my website, on fanpage on facebook, goodreads, and Amazon.com as well as artwork and other cool things.

Thank you for allowing me to join your group! I look forward to making new friends and getting to know you all better. ;) Rest assured I am not here to try to spam anyone, or shove my work down anyone’s throats, with selling my work. It’s my publisher’s job to market my material. I am only trying to make new friends with people who like me, enjoy books and have the same interests as I do. :)

message 310: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (bookachickie) | 2 comments Hi, I'm Sarah and I am constantly teased about being a bookworm.

My favorite series is probably the Mary Russel and Sherlock Holmes series, by Laurie R. King. I also like her other series, involving Kate Martinelli. I basically enjoy any mystery, including murder.

My favorite place to read is on my stairs; they curve in the middle and the steps are big enough to lay on.

When I am not in book land, I enjoy playing soccer and chatting with my friends.

Unique……………………I like to draw and write stories. A really good writer said I have a talent for writing. Whenever I do research, even on small things, I always end up with a thick booklet. My friend thinks I'm obsessed.

message 311: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (bookachickie) | 2 comments Oh, yeah I like fantasy novels too.

T.L. Wood (TLWood) | 2 comments Thanks Shanon and Jeannie! :) Besides the Dragons who are quite evil in this story, there also are Faeries, Pegasi, an Oracle, Elves, Trolls, all sorts of other nasty, ghastly creatures, shape shifters and much more :)

I have managed to convert only 2 of my friends to the darkside..so it's nice to have others who know what I'm talking about. I also belong to the PNR group & am glad to see that the BOM for this group will also meet part that group's April challenge.

Lily | 1 comments Hiya. I'm miki. I love to read. I mean I read almost all the time. There is always a book in my backpack and I always have a spare incase I finish that one. I love to read about supernatural things, but basically I'll read anything you put in front of me. I have books thrown everywhere in my room, but I got clean it up because I am expecting a baby and now I'll be able to read more of books. The book that made me love the supernatural was the Mortal Instruments, I fell in love with the books and they made me want to read more about vampires, werewolves, faires, witches, anything supernatural, if you have any book recommendations, let me know. ^_^

Brandi Hello everybody! I'm Brandi, I'm from Tennessee and LOVE to read paranormal romance! My favorite series...well, I have a few, but The Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward would have to top the list followed by The Dark Hunters by Sherrilyn Kenyon and The Demonica series by Larissa Ione. Oh, and the Night Huntress series by Jeanienne Frost. I knew I wouldn't be able to just pick one!! I've got 3 kids that keep me VERY busy, but read every chance I get--I even read to my husband to try to keep him included! I enjoy being outside, spending time with my friends and kids, and doing anything artsy!

Sarah (Dreamworldbooks) | 1 comments Hello everyone! My name is Sarah and I have been a goodreads member since January 2010. I recently joined several groups mainly to participate in the discussions about books. I am always looking for recommendations and wish-list adds for my paperbackswap.com account, haha!

I also participate in the giveaways and have already won about 5 books since January which is super-exciting for me, plus I have my own book review website at .

I love the witchy, were, and vamp genres, and have lots of favorites. I will always treasure Anne Rice's Witching Hour trilogy which I read when it came out 20 years ago, and same goes for L.J. Smith's Vampire Diaries series which I also read back in the early 1990s. I wish they had made a TV show out of it back then, I would have gone crazy!

Hello everyone, nice to meet you.

Hayley Whytock 4398382 Hey!
I'm Hayley. I'm from the UK.

Currently love reading anything magical and paranormal at the minute; though i don't have a favourite genre.

My favourite authors are the likes of Jodi Picoult, Charlaine Harris, Sarah Addison Allen, Diane Chamberlain ... the list goes on and it's very mixed!

I read anywhere i get the chance to! I recently purchased an Amazon Kindle and it's one of the most amazing things that i've bought, it goes with me everywhere! I've never read so much in my life.

I'm currently finishing off the Harper Connelly series, i'm on the last book.
Next i'm looking at the 'His Dark Materials' Series by Philip Pullman as someone recommended them to me. Then there's Charlaine Harris' Aurora Teagarden books. And Since joining this group i've come across the Nightside series which is now in my reading list to!

Far too many books to choose from, i'm spoilt for choice!

I review all genres and read all books from children’s to adults. My site is what some would call an Eclectic mix and I do like variety. If you have a book that you would like reviewed â€ I accept both Print and EBooks, or want a bit of promotion for a new release or event, how about an author interview or guest post? If this interests you, send me an email to [email protected] and check out my site .

message 331: by Kertu (new)

Kertu (koiliblikas) Hello! I thought I should write here as well. My name is Kertu and I'm student. I love to read everything fantasy and paranormal with a sip of romance.
Some of my favourite authors are Nalini Singh, J.R. Ward, Jeaniene Frost. But that's only on the romance side. I also love books by J.K. Rowling and Terry Pratchett.
So about hobbies.. Hmm. That's a good question. Well I'd say that my hobby is watching stars and trying to find out in what constellation it my be. But it's nothing very fancy. Just me and my computer to find information. No telescope or something.
As something unique I couldn't think anything than that I eat saltpretzels with sweetened milk.

message 332: by Kristin (new)

Kristin (yabadabasinskas) | 2 comments I'm Kristin and this is the first group I have joined!

I have a lot of favorite books, but I have to say my absolute favorite series is the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews. Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark Series comes in a close second. There's also Nanili Singh's Psy-changeling series. Oh so many books, so little time....

My favorite place to read is in my bed!

When I'm not reading I volunteer at the local Vet School to walk some of the dogs there. I'm also involved in breeding Great Danes. Archery is also one of my hobbies, but I don't get to practice as much as I used to because weapons are not allowed on school campus.

Something unique about me...Well my friends think its weird that I eat ice cream with a fork and cake or muffins with a spoon? I did not even know I did this until they pointed it out. Other than that, I'm seriously afraid of bugs. Any kind of bugs, even the nice and pretty ones. I also like to write books in my free time, but do not have the confidence to let other people read them.
