Ben (arktosaur) I purchased the Kindle edition and then the Audible audiobook shortly thereafter, intending to take advantage of the Whispersync for Voice feature. The weird thing is, for me at least, it's only working in one direction; my furthest position in the audiobook is synced to my Kindle, but not the other way around.

Anyone else having this issue? Whispersync for Voice worked fine for me for Dragonflight and Ready Player One, which, granted, are my only prior experiences with it, but I just wanted to see if this is happening to anyone else.


Buzz Park (buzzpark) | 394 comments I couldn't get Whispersync for Voice to work at all for Wool either. I read the book on my Kindle and listened to the Audible version about 50/50, but they never synced in either direction.

Ben (arktosaur) Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one, but sorry you're having a similar problem. I've contacted Audible support about it, I'll let you know if they have anything useful to report!

Tamahome | 7154 comments Remember not to skip ahead, then that will be the 'saved position'. You can reset the saved position at the Amazon 'Manage your kindle' site.

William Reed | 7 comments Mine only synced the text version to where I had listened last. My audible app had to be manually updated to the correct chapter.

Ben (arktosaur) So, William, you and I have the exact same problem.

Audible support has suggested I try deleting Wool from every device, resetting my saved position, and then redownloading and trying again. I'll be giving that a shot later today, and I'll let you know if it changes anything.

Ben (arktosaur) No success on my end. Will contact support again shortly, but I'm not optimistic.

Mark Catalfano (cattfish) Still an issue. Worked for all other whispersync for voice titles so far. So it's this exact ebook that has the problem
