I read the entire series. I'm not a huge James Patterson fan, but it was a pretty good book. I did find that facts were repeated over and over again in the book, maybe as reminders, but I didn't really need them. I did like the character alot.

If you do end up liking it, I bet you would LOVE the Maximum Ride series. I like Witch and Wizard okay, but it seems like a less awesome version of Maximum Ride which is super awesome!

Give it a chance! It is a fantastic book. Not as good as Matched, but the second in a trilogy never is as good as the first. In my opinion.

I thought Before I Fall was a beautiful book. It made me a life long fan of Lauren Oliver. It made me cry!

message 3359: by Amy (new)

Amy I'm halfway through Crossed and seeing how the characters struggle to get away from where they currently are is interesting. I had the same issue with Matched though. Slow read for me even though I did like it.

message 3362: by Jessika (new)

Jessika Hoover (jessalittlenerdy) I just started The Ruins of Gorlan by John Flanagan. It's pretty good so far, and I'm excited to see how this books sets up the rest of the series.

message 3363: by Brooke (new)

Brooke (thecovercontessa) Fever (The Chemical Garden, #2) by Lauren DeStefano which is going much more slowly than I would like it to be. It's very rollar coastery, which I am not liking; Unearthly (Unearthly, #1) by Cynthia Hand which I love and already have Hallowed (Unearthly, #2) by Cynthia Hand waiting in the wings b/c I'm sure I'll finish it today; and City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare which I am LOVING!

Eden Silverfox (tsalagi_writer) | 265 comments I finished Spell Bound by Rachel Hawkins today and started reading The Truth about Sacajawea by Kenneth Thomasma.

message 3376: by Donna (new)

Donna Galanti (donnagalanti) | 1 comments I am reading Sparrow Road by Sheila O'Connor. A YA mystery coming of age. I was drawn in at the bookstore and had to bring home. Its poetic and sparse with intrigue and colorful characters. I really am enjoying the young girl and don't normally enjoy 1st person tales as this is, but it reads like a 3rd person story. Sparrow Road by Sheila O'Connor

message 3377: by Angela Sunshine (new)

Angela Sunshine (angelasunshine) I've just started 3 books all at the same time. I'm listening to the audio version of The Running Dream by Wendelin Van Draanen The Running Dream by Wendelin Van Draanen, or I will be once I get in the car. I'm reading the final book in the Maze Runner series The Death Cure (Maze Runner, #3) by James Dashner The Death Cure by James Dashner, which hasn't been my favorite series but I want to see it through. And I'm reading The Water Wars by Cameron Stracher The Water Wars by Cameron Stracher. It got crappy reviews but I love the cover :)

message 3378: by Amy (new)

Amy I'm reading Embrace. So far it's pretty good.

I finished Haven yesterday and loved it so much I read it in a day.

message 3386: by Angela Sunshine (new)

Angela Sunshine (angelasunshine) I'm working on a few books right now. I'm hoping to break 100 by the end of the year but I'm lagging behind!

I'm listening to The Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson, which is good but a little depressing.

I'm reading The Holocaust by Abraham Resnick for Challenge 14 and it is a LOT depressing.

I'm also reading Downright Dencey by Caroline Dale Snedeker which is really old, but kind of interesting. It's also for Challenge 14.

As soon as I am through with these two challenge books I've promised myself something I WANT to read... Either Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore or Girl of Nightmares by Kendare Blake. Challenge be damned! Neither of those fit :)

message 3387: by Alix (new)

Alix (goaskalix) I've also got a few going.

Finishing up Glitch and Savage Hunger and Perfect mate and I just started The Perfect Hope and I'm rereading Cut & Run (even though I seriously just finished the series last week).

I really like this series too. I haven't picked up the latest one yet (book 4?) but am going to.

What do you think of Glitch so far? Sounds pretty good. I love dystopias.

I'm enjoying it but to be honest, the writing is a bit... lacking. There's not much chemistry or emotion at all really.

I hate when that happens, especially with a storyline with so much potential. Some books just fall flat.

Such a great series! Are you going to read Extras too? That was the only one I didn't love. I liked it, but not loved it.

message 3397: by Angela Sunshine (new)

Angela Sunshine (angelasunshine) Okay, I finished my tough-to-read challenge books, so now I get to have a fun one.

I'm starting Days of Blood & Starlight by Laini Taylor on audio today. So excited!!! I really liked Daughter of Smoke and Bone.

I'm also reading Define "Normal" by Julie Anne Peters, whose books I tend to enjoy.

I usually do 3 books at a time, one audio, one Kindle and one physical book. I am still deciding which Kindle one I should go for...
