Noah Nichols (nanmanme) Before situating my head into the guillotine, I'd like to say a few words. I've been dealing with a lot of serious things in my life recently. Reviewing my last two assignments (the other doesn't really count since Lindsey was "banned", even though I still plan to review her work) hasn't been easy because of a torrid life in the way. Many apologies personally to Neil and Lisa. I will get both of your books reviewed and posted by the end of this weekend or else you're more than welcome to meet me in person and slap the taste right out of my mouth. Direct message for the street address. But in closing and in all seriousness, I haven't benefited from this process as much as Emma would like you to think. Unless you count the internal guilt that I've bestowed upon myself for being woefully late. Thanks to everyone in this group for humoring me. I love each and every one of you, even Emma. Who now hates me. Let's make this planet great again!

Emma Jaye | 3695 comments I posted the rules for the review group in situations where a reviewer did not fulfil their obligations. It wasn't personal. Noah has complete one review for this group in 13 weeks. A halt has to be called as some point.
I blacklisted someone in group 101 today too. It’s not a nice thing to have to do but the rules are there for a reason, to make the group work for the vast majority of members.

On a personal note, this isn't about my personal feelings for Noah.

Apart from him breaking the rules about finishing reviews in this group, if he had conducted that 1,600 word rant on goodreads and amazon against any other author in the group except me, I would have banned him immediately. It was uncalled for, personal and didn't mention a single aspect of the book except what he saw as 'unforgivable' errors (mainly comma placements).
In addition, he also argued on amazon with a group reviewer who gave him a one star review. Including giving the author's real name when he had reviewed under a pen name. Both instances made several other authors fearful of posting the reviews they felt his book deserved and that is unforgivable given the ethos of the group as being a safe place to post honest reviews of books, NOT authors.

Mr Nichols posted in his review of my book on amazon that this group is 'an inconsequential and pretentious gathering' and that any positive review gained here were the result of 'ass kissing'.

He has been removed from the group. It is up to individuals if they wish to remove their reviews of his book, 'No Net'.

Leo McBride (leomcbride) | 115 comments Many thanks to the moderators and all those who gave their time to provide reviews. I'd also like to say I've found a couple of authors whose work I will follow in future, so thanks for letting me take part.
