Thanks Neil. Two of the stories assigned to me were children's stories and very short, so the time frame wasn't that difficult. Another children's story assigned to me was like a novella in length.

Is this group accepting new members? I would be interested in joining.

Sorry Mary, this group is full. Keep an eye on new groups with "now forming" in the name. There is a novella group forming at the moment if your work meets the word count rule and you don't mind reading/reviewing outside the children/ya genre.

This Children/YA round is full now as only ten slots are available. Keep an eye on any review round threads with "now forming" in the title for those with spaces available.

In the meantime, take a look a the One for One thread. If you read and review one of the books in the list you will then be able to post one of yours. At present, there is one Children's/YA book on the list if you prefer to keep in this genre. Otherwise, feel free to pick any of the others that catch your eye. Have a read of the rules and please ask any questions if you have them to make sure you're on the right track

Just realised I forgot to pop back in and say thank you to Scott, Loralee and Maggie for their reviews of my book. So sorry for not using my manners and saying thank you earlier, was recently diagnosed with cancer so been preoccupied with doctors and surgery and infections, but I'm a bit of a manners freak and so I feel bad I didn't come back and give my thanks to those who read and reviewed my book!

I look forward to joining another review group in the future!

I had a lot of trouble with this group, and it shows in my less-than-stellar performance as a reviewer. I submitted a little story for little kids. What I had to read to was novels for teenagers. I don't know any teenagers! I don't know what they like or expect or need.

Still, it was a very interesting challenge.
