Giacomo La Rosa | 7 comments Hello there! I'd appreciate your cookers on my new book. #TheHouseOfMyDreams addresses marriage and love in a very intimate manner, through the eyes of the two protagonists. The use of present tense and first person allows readers to feel Trevor's and Precious' emotions in real time, narrating their love story in a very unconventional fashion.

Hi Melissa, I sent to Amazon for 8 of my own
paperbacks a few months ago and was shocked at what I had to pay. Authors are supposed to pay only about 40% of the price (yes, we have to pay!) and because of some anomaly that Amazon refused to deal with I couldn't order at the reduced price from their headquarters in England - I live in the UK - so I had to order from the US. When postage was added I ended up paying over £5 for each paperback. And the price to normal customers is £6.51.

I have only 2 paperback copies left now Melissa and I need them. (Even if I posted one of them to you I'd be out over £7, including postage!)

You wouldn't need a kindle or iPad or anything like that to read my novella. It would appear on your computer screen, in large font and crystal clear. If you want, I could send you the attachment by email and you could then decide if you want to read it. My email address is [email protected]

Best wishes,
Colm

Hi Amy,

I just got this info on an online book club I'm in and it would mean you putting a few words at the beginning of your review (that's if you don't mind). It seems that if I give a person a free book and they review it they must write one of these sentences you'll see (after the asterisks below) AT THE BEGINNING of their review. Otherwise I could lose my Amazon account! Weird but it seems the system is being abused by a lot of people and Amazon just get ruthless if they think a writer is arranging complimentary review.
*** “I received this at a discount in exchange for an honest review, OR
*** “I received this for free in exchange for an honest review.

I hope that's OK Amy.

Best wishes,
Colm

Hi guys, are any of you interested in reading a direct to kindle copy of my short stories? they are in the mystery thriller genre and only 106 pages.
I also have a vampire horror (it has extreme violence in it).

All I ask is an honest review in return.
PM or comment if interested please.

Thanks in advance DM

P.S - the short story collection is written in British English and does contain some British slang.

Dolores 💜 (mdmawhinney) Hi DM I would be interested in both of your genres for the future as at the moment I'm snowed under with others also ALL my own books of series I've always followed BEFORE I started following & reading for new authors so at the moment I'm going to regretfully say I'm out for now

Please forgive me Amy but I gave you the wrong info yesterday. I'm copying and pasting what it should have been:

"I highly recommend putting your disclaimer at the very END of your review (in its own separate paragraph), NOT at the beginning. If you put it at the beginning, expect to be downvoted by random trolls that think all your reviews are faked/paid."

Amy, the "disclaimer" doesn't change. It's EITHER
“I received this at a discount in exchange for an honest review, OR
“I received this for free in exchange for an honest review.

I'm so sorry. I feel really stupid.

Colm

Eye Books (eye-books) | 2 comments Reviewers wanted...
Some travel books are accounts of journeys to extraordinary places, and as such, we make allowances for the quality of the writing. Discovery Road however, was reviewed in the 'late' Independent thus: "The power comes from the excellence of the writing." And Sir Ranulph Fiennes was impressed enough to say: "Readers will be inspired to reach out and follow their own dreams."
We are extremely proud of this book and are eager for the story to reach as many people as possible. So, we are giving away - yes, free, gratis - a copy for anyone who will commit to giving it a review.
