Oh ok- i guess I misunderstood. In your sense, yes, they probably aren't something one would want to keep revisiting.

Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Finished a book off my Not Library shelf - The Empress of Ireland: A Chronicle of an Unusual Friendship by Christopher Robbins. This was a rambling story told about an interesting character. While I liked the writing style, the organization left much to be desired and could have used a good editor. I also couldn't quite get the point of the memoir until the very end and other than that it was a challenge book, was not very motivated to finish. Not worth reading. 2 stars

Since I finished yesterday book #57 I decided not to update my goal and just read as much as I can - doing it anyway. I think in the end I'll reach something around 80 books.

Ultrajbk | 67 comments 7/10 - God's Philosophers by James Hannan.

A nice little romp into the Middle Ages. An accessible account of key thinkers, and the foundations they laid for those who followed such as Copernicus, Kepler and Galileo.

message 498: by Megan (new)

Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Just completed another book off the Audible shelf - A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. I really enjoyed this book! At the beginning, I had no idea what the premise was, just that I needed a decent fantasy book. I listened to the audiobook until the final 10%, which was excellent. The writing is really well done, the flip on the fairy tale intriguing, and the characters interesting and complex. My only issue with the book was where it turned into a romance novel but that was only a small percentage. Definitely worth reading! 4.5 stars
