Boo! I'm sorry. That's happened to me before and it does always spoil the series, even if you do decide to go on with it.

Clear the Shelves should be an ongoing challenge we can join any time of the year. I'm probably in a more Clear the Shelves mindset in October when I'm pushing to hit my yearly goal. I try to hit my challenge number in early December. Then I start a couple of gargantuan books that I won't finish until January. That gets me off to a great start at the beginning of the year. I love that we're doing this!

5/25 to date

Finished reading the second book in the Hannibal Lector series, The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris
My goal is now 2/3

I find it difficult to rate this book, though I liked a lot of it. It's a kind of book you read in bits, digest and go back to.
(message #35)

My goal for this year was to read more books that I already own, rather than buying new ones. Needless to say, I'm failing miserably. I have been on trips to London and Porto this month, and have bought books on both trips. I'd like to personalise this challenge by reading those books this quarter. That way, they won't end up forgotten on my shelves.
Below is a list of the books I've bought, in the order in which I've bought them. I've already finished one of them, but I've bought AND read it in London two weeks ago, so imho it counts.
The Bafut Beagles - Gerald Durrell
The Drunken Forest - Gerald Durrell
