Tien - I want to read Charlaine Harris' second book in The Cemetery Girl Trilogy (Inheritance) for Genre - Graphic Novels. It is listed as a MPG but I cannot find it listed on any genre list, although the shelving takes me to the genre page. May I still read it for that Genre since it is a MPG?

Sorry, Bea, it maybe the late hour or am just really sleepy but I couldn't understand your question... :(
Is the shelf you want to read the book for, 'graphic novels'? What's MPG?

Sorry...MPG is Main Page Genre. The book I want to read has Graphic Novels listed as Sequential Art>Graphic Novels as a main page genre. In the list of shelves, it has both "graphic novels" and "graphic novel" listed at the top of the first column. However, when I click on either term, I am taken to the generic genre page rather than to a shelf. Thus my question.
PS: I have also searched the most frequently read this week and other lists, without successfully finding this book.

Hm, now that you mention it, they all do look a bit obscure especially the 5 Aussie books :)

I am a little bit disappointed with this random letter spinner (we've been using a website for this)... where are the hard letters like X & Z!? lol ;p

Ariel, before I look into your Skip, I think I'll just remind you that you could do the same letters multiple times as long as it's not the same shelf. So you could do 'retelling' and 'romance' for this month's shelves and not do any shelf starting with 'e' at all.
Hope this makes sense... Just making sure you know this before you actually use your skip.

Firstly, if it shows up on the MPG already, I wouldn't worry about checking the shelves.
Secondly, this is how:
*note: shelved as 'graphic-novel' 24 times & 'graphic-novels' 23 times
*You'll note also that both link (graphic-novel and graphic-novels) take you to the same genre page, graphic-novels. On this page, scroll down 'til you see 'Popular Graphic Novel Books' -usually this is a clickable link that will take you to your shelf however sometimes this is not a clickable link. Usually, I take this to mean that there aren't enough books shelved on this shelf for a page but I don't know why here??! There should be heaps of books for these shelves.
*the next thing to try is by going via top shelves search and type in either shelf name and you'll find Shelves > Graphic Novel (book is on page 57) & Shelves > Graphic Novels >

Thanks for the help. I couldn't figure how to find the Popular Graphic Novel Book list when there was no link on the genre page.

We'll see how we go, Dee ;p I do want to get to other letters than just G M & R! We still haven't seen the last bits of the alphabets (U-Z), have we?

Oh thank you, I didn't see the moon lol

Tien wrote: "Good idea, Coralie, we'll need to figure out some system ;)"
OK...just let me know prior to next month's draw. If we go for three months, that would eliminate G and M only.
So far we have had 16 distinct letters drawn with 6 from the last half of the alphabet (S, R, P, N, T, W).

Of course they don't have the main character listed, why would they ;-)
Same shelf, different book
English - They Do It with Mirrors
Character name - Edgar Lawson

Thanks for looking out, Tien. In all honesty, I'll probably rework my plan a few times and not even need the skip. Just testing the skipping waters, I guess! So, in theory... If I went that route, it'd work, yeah?

:) But the two by Plato are rather short. It's not always been fun, but I am reading his Complete Works which I have wanted to do for years and will garner Big Points for this on RwS. It just helped here that each of these is also published separately in its own right. I have concluded that only a couple of his are actually brilliant. Lots of tripe in there.

Feels kind of... wrong... to me lol
