I'm looking for some horror books with some really good, genuinely shocking twists. I hate it when a book has a really good build up, and then fails to deliver, which has happened way to often. Usually, the ending is either predictable, or there are way too many plot holes, and nothing makes sense. I want something where everything in the story ties together well, and preferably with a really good twist at the end.

I'm a huge fan of ghost stories, but anything horror related is fine :)

This is twisted at the end and you could read it right around the time of Christmas. :)

I already had 2 of these books on my TBR list and just added another. I love this page. Keep up the suggestions!

These are just a few whose endings really caught me off-guard.

I read "Harvest Home" by Thomas Tryon a long, long time ago. Still one of my favorites. Great twist ending!
