Ok, I'm just starting on this, but due to the limited choice on the letter 'X' I am cheating here.... A few months back I read The Good Women of China by Xinran, so I'm adding that to the challenge before I start.

I've got books in mind for all letters now, except I need an 'N' 'Q' 'U' and 'Y'
Any suggestions?

Currently tackling 'R'- Salman Rushdie: Midnight's Children

Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie The Good Women of China Hidden Voices by Xinran
