Actually I've been celebrating it most of the week (movie and concert with friends on Tue & Wed and family dinner on Thu since they went on trip yesterday). It was more-less normal day except for phone ringing all the time and all those messages I got on cell.
I didn't even have a cake since I miscalculated ingredients so didn't buy enough (as usual) :P So I'm finishing it now, but it isn't working. Creams are too soft and are everywhere but on the cake. I think I'll put them in cups and serve it that way :D

Sounds like you had a good week. That's one thing I don't like is cake.

But it's (supposed to be) great cake. �� Chocolate with chocolate with chocolate (in 3 colors) :P

OK, try 2 of putting creams on cake...
I've left them in fridge for few hours to try to solidify them and let them think about their actions. First part was fine (I'm not doing it like on pic, but making different color circles in one row) so I started second row and all hell broke loose. Chocolates started running like avalanche on one side of the cake and I couldn't stop it. So I used dark chocolate cream (which after cooling is so hard you can cut it with knife) like clay to 'build' a wall. It looks hilarious.
And I'm finally giving up. ��

Man, I had more chocolate on me that cake has. I have no idea what went wrong this year. I always had problem with white chocolate (I'm guessing cooking chocolate we have here isn't really for cooking) but this year it's everything.
Maybe that's the sign I should try different cake? :P
And I'm not really giving up. Since I bought biscuit, I have two more left. So that means, two more tries ;) I'm gonna have such sugar rush till end of the year :P

Wow, Tea, in my opinion you can do nothing wrong with triple chocolate. I will come eat it with a spoon or a straw :p I hope you used Belgian chocolate :p The 'how it supposed to be' cake seems really tasty, but maybe yours tastes better :)

Btw I watched the Battle of the 5 armies, and it's really good. I got a bit teary eyed at the ending, now I'm ready to start it all over again :)

Haha I would :) There're so many different chocolates and brands here that it's difficult to choose. One of my favourite is Côte D'or.

Yay! I'm curious to hear your opinion on it :) He did change some things. I don't remember everything, but in that he stayed faithful to the book. About the addition of Tariel; I don't really have an opinion but I understand why Peter added it.
