Hello! This is a new challenge for 2018. We are going to read 1 Fear Street book a month. So far it's me and Ashley. We have came up with a list of what we will be reading. awesome, you can usually find them for 3$ or less. check used book stores, thrift stores, library sales.

I think my first Fear Street book was The New Boy. The New Boy. I recall my favorite being the saga and 99 Fear Street. Also, I have an extra Thrill Club I'd be willing to trade for one I don't have. if interested, send me a message. I thought I had an extra Light's Out but I haven't found it yet.

I love the Fear Street book series. I'm working on getting every copy of the books! They're kinda hard to find, but I recommend Thriftbooks, Used book stores, Vstock (if they're available near you), ebay, amazon. :)

Jan 1st is fine. My first Fear Street book was First Date and I loved the Fear Street Saga.

I loved it too. I have too much on my tbr list to join this challenge however. Good luck!

I've been wanting to get the Fear Street books! I know I read some when I was younger, which ones I don't remember. R.L. Stine got me into reading as a kid, first with Goosebumps but I know I read some Fear Street as I got older.

I'll get a hold of them, i'd love to join in :) I get paid the 10th so then I could get it off Amazon, i've already looked. Prime has them so I should have plenty of time left. Broken Hearts for February is actually on kindle too (though i'll get the paperback if I can, but kindle is fine too).

I actually freed up my TBR this year by just planning on reading what I want and not setting TBRs so that way I can join in more challenges or group reads ^_^

That sounds awesome Stephanie. Buddy reads are a lot funnier with more people. I wasn’t much into Goosebumps. I watched the show a few times though.

^_^ Looking forward to it. Goosebumps was heaven to me as a child, I picked up whatever I could get from Scholastic book fairs. I watched the show sometimes too.

Some of the Fear Street books were recently re-released in kindle format. The prices are quite reasonable, too. Link for USA

5th grade sounds about right for me too. I hop I get my book today, I had to order Haunted.

I got my books today yay! it will probably be another week before I begin this one. my cover looks like this I don't think this one has been updated yet but if it has, someone let me know! have y'all read the back cover? LOL!!
Melissa woke up screaming. The prowler was at her window…or was he? The recent headlines about a Fear Street prowler had everyone on edge. Her father now kept a loaded pistol in his bedroom. That made it even more frightening—and real.

Then the haunting began: her new car driving as if someone else had taken control; her birthday presents ripped open by unseen hands; an invisible force trying to push her out the bedroom window.

Out of the shadows of her bedroom came a menacing figure. Who was he? Did he really come from beyond the grave? And why had he come to kill her? If Melissa doesn’t solve the mystery fast, these questions will haunt her—to death

lol! ok!! if you live on Fear Street, having a gun in every room would be a must. I think the prowler is that horny teenager from the New Girl, stalking her! The New Girl lol, just kidding!
I read this in middle school so I don't remember anything about any of them. so I think it would be fun to speculate!
I says it her dead brother that she had. they were in a car crash and he died and she doesn't remember any of it.

has anyone started reading yet? I figured we'd just set the date for the whole month and people can read anytime during the month, whenever it's convenient for you. I'd like to get to Haunted by Friday at the latest.

I have ordered the books. I won't be getting this month's Haunted until the 17th-22nd, I paid for expedited shipping. Not the most expensive but it's something. That should give me plenty of time to read it :) I should actually be getting Broken hearts this Friday so i'll have February's.

Ok I can wait for you to get your book. I have plenty to keep me busy.

Ok. I really, really would like to finish up 2 of the books I’m reading this weekend but who knows?! Lol. I’m in over my head this month.

I haven't read Fear Street in a good decade or more...i'm excited to revisit Fear Street!

I started reading them again last year. I think so far my favorite has been Missing.

I'll have to acquire more and start reading them :) I'm slowly acquiring the Goosebumps books as they got me started in reading and I can still enjoy them. I credit R.L.Stine with first getting me to like reading, and horror.

I do too but I didn’t read Goosebumps.

Goosebumps was my childhood, I was a 90s kid. Born in 89.

School just gave me boring stuff to read that I could never remember no matter how hard I tried. I've always liked horror though so when I saw Goosebumps I had to try it out, and I fell in love with them, and scholastic book fairs lol. School pushed me away from reading, Goosebumps showed me how fun it could be. :)

Tracking tells me Friday morning Haunted arrived in Pennsylvania. I live in South Jersey so I might be getting it in the next day or 2, possibly earlier than the expected 17th-22nd. :) I also got Broken Hearts already! Broken Hearts I was able to get through prime but Haunted I wasn't hence why that is taking longer. I would've considered kindle if it was on kindle but it isn't. Still it's close to arriving! :)

Heck since it's technically Saturday now I might get it today or Monday. :)

That's interesting. I haven't read that one but I wouldn't be surprised if it is.
