Alissa | 351 comments Hello again, Alissa from Team Hydrus. Just finished The Vigilante Poets of Selwyn Academy and I loved it! It was like Dead Poets Society for the current times. Thanks for the recommendation.

MelanieJoy (ladybird11) | 213 comments We're reading like masters! Just a couple days left. We can do this! (Almost done with The Pawn. Should be done tomorrow.)

message 254: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 303 comments Apologies for the abrupt message earlier, was desperately trying to finish my book and update ŷ before my lunch break finished!

message 255: by Paulina (new)

Paulina (polly1) We’re doing great indeed. I’m finishing The Good Daughter for part 2 by team Mercury.

message 256: by Lulu (last edited Feb 27, 2018 10:07AM) (new)

Lulu (lulufritz) | 704 comments I added some things to the tracking sheet for part 2. I haven't finished them all yet but most likely will. Messenger might fit for another team but I haven't checked yet, the ones I was thinking are already filled in.

**Edit**
I meant The Sun Is Also a Star not Messenger

message 257: by Jane (last edited Feb 27, 2018 11:49PM) (new)

Jane | 297 comments Later today I’ll add my Jar City to the Spreadsheet and then see if the last 2 books I read will fit. I need to read another 2 books this month and hopefully they’ll fit somewhere too.

message 258: by Jane (last edited Feb 27, 2018 07:18AM) (new)

Jane | 297 comments Ashleigh, Georgia or MelanieJoy

You are just so fast. Thank you again, for adding my books to the spreadsheet. I know you can see them as I add them to my shelf but it is still a lot of work to compare them to the other teams.

message 259: by Lulu (new)

Lulu (lulufritz) | 704 comments I am working on a vampire book that should work for Team Ceres

message 260: by Lulu (last edited Feb 28, 2018 10:46AM) (new)

Lulu (lulufritz) | 704 comments I finished my vampire book for Ceres.

Is anyone working on something they will finish for part 2?

I am going to try and finish one more today. Looks like we will need one for Pluto and Venus. I'm going to wait a bit to see if someone already has something that will fit any of the spots. If not I will try and pick something that would fit more than one team.

message 261: by Jane (new)

Jane | 297 comments I finished my last book of the month.

The Music Shop by Rachel Joyce The Music Shop by Rachel Joyce

which works for Team Venus with blue cover with

Die 13½ Leben des Käpt'n Blaubär (Zamonien, #1) by Walter Moers

message 262: by Allyson (new)

Allyson Preble (awesomeeallyson) I also finished my last book of the month. Mr. Mercedes

I have no idea if it works for anything because I'm currently still confused about the mini challenge...oops. But it ends tomorrow right?

Hi Jane, could you add this book to your UNO shelf please?

message 264: by Ashleigh (new)

Ashleigh | 915 comments Melanie how you coming along with The Pawn? That seems to be the only book we need now for the mini challenge.

message 265: by Paulina (new)

Paulina (polly1) I’ve finished The Good Daughter :) I don’t think we need it but I’m done and ready for March!

message 266: by MelanieJoy (new)

MelanieJoy (ladybird11) | 213 comments Finished the Pawn! I'll upload it to my shelf tonight and the spreadsheet and the comment on Kuiper tomorrow. Hope it counts!

message 267: by Ashleigh (new)

Ashleigh | 915 comments Excellent Melanie! I believe we have an extra 24 hours from the end of February to add our books. Just make sure you put the date read as February if you finished it on the last day.

message 268: by Lulu (new)

Lulu (lulufritz) | 704 comments New Month New Cards!

message 269: by Ingeborg (new)

Ingeborg (redrum) | 410 comments Can books started in February be used for March cards as long as they were finished this month? :)

message 270: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 303 comments Does anyone know how we are doing compared to the other teams?

message 271: by MelanieJoy (new)

MelanieJoy (ladybird11) | 213 comments We're ranked 19/22 but a lot of teams are tied because most teams did all 14 hands and got all the mini challenged points, so the point gaps are not that crazy.

message 272: by MelanieJoy (new)

MelanieJoy (ladybird11) | 213 comments Ingeborg wrote: "Can books started in February be used for March cards as long as they were finished this month? :)"

I think so.

message 275: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 303 comments Starting with the 4th book of the Fey:The Resistance. Goal to finish the series this month!

Is there a mini challenge every month?

message 276: by Lulu (new)

Lulu (lulufritz) | 704 comments Usually there is a mini challenge in every month. Last year I feel like they didn't do one in the last month though

message 277: by Paulina (new)

Paulina (polly1) Hey there! I’ve just finished “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. I’m not sure if can be used given the number of pages( in different editions from 96 to more than 200 pages) The edition I have on my Uno shelf has 206 pages, so I guess it’s ok? It suits following cards :
- 2 ( the title)
- 6 ( character Susan)
- 8 ( character Edmond)
- 9 ( set in Narnia)
- Skip ( character Peter)
- reverse ( MelanieJoy read it)

Paulina, if the edition you've read is 206 pages, it's okay to use.

message 279: by Ashleigh (new)

Ashleigh | 915 comments @Jane you've got on the tracking spreadsheet that you've completed Texas Angel but it's not on your UNO shelf. Could you add it please? Thank you :)

I've read ALL of them so if you want to keep reading the series we can fit those in for a lot of reverse. I love those.

message 284: by MelanieJoy (new)

MelanieJoy (ladybird11) | 213 comments I'm starting with The Rook (The Patrick Bowers Files, #2) by Steven James because I loved The Pawn. I'll try to get to Girl Waits with Gun (Kopp Sisters, #1) by Amy Stewart and Payment in Blood (Inspector Lynley, #2) by Elizabeth George after that. Also maybe The Alienist (Dr. Laszlo Kreizler, #1) by Caleb Carr

message 285: by Lulu (new)

Lulu (lulufritz) | 704 comments anyone working on a color card??

Ashleigh how was Annihilation?

MelanieJoy, Girl Waits with Gun is in my tbr pile. Let me know how you like it

message 286: by Ashleigh (new)

Ashleigh | 915 comments @Lulu it was interesting. I don't read a lot of sci-fi books but I'd heard good things about it and is heard there were some horror elements in it, sort of like the movie Alien, so I decided to give it a go. I wasn't totally in love with it, again that might just be my personal preference, and because the main character is a biologist, the language is quite hard to read, but it was definitely an interesting story.

message 289: by MelanieJoy (new)

MelanieJoy (ladybird11) | 213 comments I love being used for reverse! Haha.

I actually switched from The Rook to A Wrinkle in Time because it just came to my elibrary and I've been waiting since the start of the year. :)

message 290: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 303 comments Just finished The Resistance and can be used for cards 4,6,9 and skip. Not sure if it can be used for colour red ?

Lulu (lulufritz) | 704 comments I'm going to start Playing with Fire (Skulduggery Pleasant, #2) by Derek Landy which will work for either green card.

They put up the March Mini in the UNO folder

message 297: by Ashleigh (new)

Ashleigh | 915 comments Oh well spotted Lulu - I didn't even see they were doing a mini challenge.

I've added another sheet to the tracking spreadsheet so we can easily add the books we're reading and what they'll work for in the mini challenge.

If you haven't got access to the tracking spreadsheet - the link is here - . If you could request access, I will grant it.
