Hi there! I'm from Australia.

Which genres does everyone enjoy reading? I like YA, fantasy, sci-fi, drama, but I always enjoy a touch of romance in the books I read.

I like YA, dystopia and sci-fi. I have a soft spot for some romance in the books I read too, Lynne. I can't resist a love triangle!

Really? Which love triangle is your favourite?

YA, dystopian, sci fi, historical fiction, realistic fiction, romance, teen, and fantasy. And I really hate love triangles. To me they seem to cheapen the story, like it turns into 'oh, I love him, but I also love him, what do I do?'. Although I have read books (Shatter me, TID) with love triangles that are just brilliant.

Hi :) i like fantasy and some scifi. i'm not too big on romance unless their really light and a cute type

I know exactly what you mean. When the story becomes all about the love triangle it's irritating. When it's an accompaniment to the action/main story, I tend to like them! Has anyone read The Program? That's an example of a love triangle gone wrong - it was like the author completely forgot to focus on the story a lot of the time (especially in the sequel). There was just far too much focus on the romance in those.

It's hard to choose a favourite but I enjoyed the one in The Hunger Games. :)

I couldn't agree more about The Program Nicola.

The Hunger games was great; have you guys read Partials? That was a good one too.

It is pretty - I like it as long as it's not on the streets when I need to drive! But I'm not a huge fan of the cold weather haha. Bring back Spring!

Happy New Year everyone.... I just finished Nothing but the truth By Vicky Patterson of Geordie Shore fame ... has anyone else read it?

Has anyone read Sophia Kinsella? I am in the middle of I've got your number and it is so funny! Poppy is such a mess but I love it.

I am also reading Undertow by Amber Lynne Natusch. it is a really good story so far. Totally different books but both are wonderful.

On another note I just bought some new snow boots, It is cold here!

I haven't heard of any of those books, but I just read the synopsis' and they do look good.

hectic weekend is over and I had the all clear from a cancer appointment today was very nervous but the all clear that I don't have it has lifted a huge weight xxx
so I am treating myself to a few cheap new books from ebay I ha e let my eldest son choose the out of a hat lol
have any of you read anything by Tess Gerritsen, Anna Mcpartin,. ALi MCNAmara ir the one I'm really interseted in lords of the underworld series by Gena Showalter?.. any thought would be appreciated xxx
oh I also got the opportunity to watch the 50 shades movie.........

Just got home from San Francisco, and that city broke my feet. But had a great time.

The movie was good..... A little disappointed as it dosent do the book justice.

any ideas I know Harry Potter has been in lots of places but I have read them such alot the reading challenge for my friends and i was about broadening our reading habits I would grateful of you fellow book worms could hook me up lol xxxx

the funny thing about that list a lot of those Banned books are also on the list of books to read before you die!!! and Why would they ban Dr. Seuss? or Judy Blume? I have read a lot on that list, want to read a lot on there. Guess I am just a rebel

Sometimes I hate using the public library. There are some books that people just hold on to forever. I need to keep telling myself I have hundreds of other books I can get into while I wait. I guess patience is not my thing.

What book are you waiting for? I have that problem too.. that's why when I finish a book I immediately return it because I know how it is to wait forever.
