Jacin and Winter

I have seen a lot of speculation about Jacin and his relationship to Princess Winter. Since I am a romantic, I naturally want them to be a couple-- even though Jacin claims he is just her guard. I don't believe it.
I think he cares for her a lot more than he lets on because in Cress he gets really excited when Cinder tells him about the block on her Lunar gift; he is very hopeful that it can used to block the Lunar gift AND prevent the Lunar from going crazy. What is happening to Winter? She's going insane because she hasn't used her gift! Jacin wants to help her!
Aaannd Jacin admits he wanted to help Cinder because he thought Winter would be proud of him. He is on Cinder's side to get away from Sybil and to make Winter proud. What else could it be?!?
Any thoughts? Do you guys agree?

Totally agree! I think it would be perfect if Princess Winter and Jacin got together, but I have a feeling it will not be that perfect.:(
I like Winter and don't want her to go crazy, but can they replicate the device?

In Fairest it mentions that Jacin Clay is royalty because he and Winter use to play together in the palace. And the reason why Jacin wants to help Cinder is because he grew up with her and knows what happened and is on her side because of how close Cinder and Winter were together when they were children.

I'm personally tired of the constant pairing ups. Romance is so overrated. I hope that Winter is either single or a lesbian, because us lesbians need some representation. I know my opinion is kinda contradictory, but still.

I understand what you mean about the underrepresentation of Lesbians in young adult fiction. But there are quite a few good books out there. :)
