I like your draft, and if you have the time and energy I'll be grateful for you creating it for us.

Hi team, got a bit a a problem with a book and I'm not sure what to do about it. I'm currently reading Edge of Eternity and at a normal pace I'd finish it in the next week. However, I realised that this book is a buddy read around the 25th of November. I'm going to discuss in the buddy read anyway, but I don't think I can make myself stretch the book out that far. Do you think I should try and make it last longer to get the extra points? If so, any tips on how to do that (provided the library will let me keep it that long)?

I'll check with Kelly (if she didn't answer us before that) and let you know.
But if you are enjoying the book don't feel pressure to stretch the reading just for the points sake.

@Juliana I had the same problem yesterday. It turned out they were migrating my documents to new version of something (forgot what drive maybe?) Today they are all working again.

@Dragana I hope that it's something like that, because has been like this since yesterday (that I noticed).

Yup. As long as there's good discussion going on in the thread you can claim your buddy read. There's also a thread for brining back old bom/br threads if you're looking for someone for a book that already has a thread.

Just wondering, if I can see how that is laid out, if easily accessible !

They are working on some issues but I think that it'll be open for all team member to access.

Thanks Kelly! You are fast. :)

I will try setting ours up and share it here, and then based on all your suggestions I can better it as we go ahead, if thats okay ! :)

It's great Apoorv. Thanks!!
For the spreadsheet you might want to put the group members name and a link to both their read shelf and their challenge shelf. Will make it a bit easier for whoever tracks it. Thinking about it I'd probably end up with a separate page for each person, with data tracking to a master sheet... but that's me being v geeky at this point!
Other question is whether you need the title, author and date in the sheet. Will make it v time consuming to keep track of! Is bad enough just counting books and page numbers from experience of the last tower team.
12hours left!!!!!!!!!!
So close!

P.s. Gaiman is awesome. Just don't read too many in succession. It does weird things to you. :)

The waiting is over. Tower Teams III has officially started.
We have a few new things...
First, the mods created a thread (upon request) for the teams insert theirs read books. The idea is to facilitate the captains job in finding everybody reads.
So we chat and incentive each other here and we post when we finish a book there.
The link it's HERE.
Second, the spreadsheet provided by the mods are up, but I'm still have some problems in editing it. I hope during this week me and the mods can figure everything out. As soon as it all working fine I'll create a version for our team and I'll post the link here too.
Well, I think it this for now.
Happy reading!!!

That's ok Esther. Glad you are fine.

I still have to read this one Trinity. I had read a graphic novel of the story

Great Jane!!
It was good?

P.S. I can only recommend The Hobbit, I think it is really good.

@Apoorv did you managed to start the spreadsheet? I can use the google docs now. I had to switch browser but seams to be working fine now.

Let me know what do you guys think of it, and if you have any suggestions.

I had, as a matter of fact, just started to put something together. Now that you have it under control.. I will stop the double work.
I really like the way you have set the layout of the Spreadsheet.. especially the small crosses (sorry, but I am kinda persnickety so these thing attract me more ! :P)
I will probably try and keep a backup sheet or a list ready, incase something gets missed. But, awesome work ! :)
Let me know if I can do anything to help, regarding this. Will be superglad to do so.

Thanks Apoorv!

Also, it would be very helpful, if all of us keep updating our respective read-list atleast once a day or as frequently as possible, so that all the read books are accounted for.
Juliana has done a cool job with the Spreadsheet, but visiting each of ours shelves might just be cumbersome when updating the Spreadsheet.. so when we all finish a book, lets drop by the aforementioned link to keep the team adept with progress.

I really liked that book :) I love historical fiction..I just finished her neest book..

We seem to be starting this really well!
I've just finished
which was really good. It's all written in letters and is about a female being caught in France by the Gestapo during the 2nd world war. There's not much more I can say without adding spoilers!
In other news I saw Shakespeare in love at the theatre last night with the girls I lived with at medical school. Was a lovely evening and fantastic to catch up with them again.

I loved this series....I wish it had continued....but alas it ends :(

It was Sunday today and I hate cliffhangers so I have finished another book and yes Catherine I would have liked more books as well. It could have been books about some of the different characters in this series.
Finished

We have noticed the huge page difference between the several editions for The Lies of Locke Lamora.
The word count is 192,918 so dividing by 250 words per page gives us 771 pages.
Therefore, for Tower Team purposes, we're going to state that the official ruling of this book is 90 points.
When marking your books as read, please choose an edition that has between 751 and 900 pages.

Name of the Rose 12/6/2014
