So a breakdown of the mini challenge:

Easy:
18. Read a book that is tagged science-fiction. �� Jen's already read book if finished after countdown

Hard:
2. Read a book with a blanket on the cover. �� Diana
11. Read a book where a character has a dog. �� Cyndee
19. Read a book with work tools on the cover. �� Gem

Some colours are really tricky :)

That being the case: Gem, the book Noel read fits a Green 6 and we cannot duplicate colored cards more than once. If you want you may hold off on Fangirl until next month if you haven't started reading it yet (from what I see in your shelf). But if you have, finish it and we'll think about colored covers next month again :)

EDIT: Sorry Gem, I won't use Noel's book for Green 6 since the story is placed between the S location and another one, so there isn't just one main setting. So: if you read Fangirl we'll use it for a WD4! (Sorry, there goes my organization off the window. :) )

Jen, have you seen the extra columns in the tracking SS for the mini challenge? Does any of your books fit any of those, or shall we use them just for the story?

Finally had a chance to look into this. I can do a yellow that works for 6 or 8 and the Green 5. It'll be closer to the end of the month but I will definitely get them done.

Dont worry about the green 5 Cyndee, im finishing that today :)

At the moment for the 3 Wild Draw 4s we have: Gem duplicating a Green 6; Cyndee duplicating a Green 5.

The yellows I have are:

- 8 for author's name (when you enlarge the cover, there is a yellow cast over the whole thing)

and

- 6 & 8 for character names

if you think both of those will work, I've got them both covered :D

If one of those doesn't work, I can do
for Yellow 9 (set in New Jersey)

I've also got a Blue 5 with - set in Ireland. I saw that wasn't marked with a name on your list so I just wanted to make sure you knew it was covered. :)

I took to the captain’s group and they don’t reckon it’s yellow enough. So, if you could do the other clearly yellow covers, it would be nice. Also, I see that that Blue 5 has a glass on the cover... ;)

Do we have other options for the Wild Draw 4 rather than the Green 5? I don't know exactly how the WD4s work. I can still do it, I just wondered if there were other options in case there's a different book that would fit the WD4 that I might like more. LOL! :)

would this work for either green or blue for a WD4? Author is a 6 so would rather read this than fan girl if I can get away with it?

This is how WD4s work> every month we have a set of colored cards (this month we had 6/7/8/9 Yellow, 5 Blue, 5/6 Green) and the WD4s must duplicate one of those colored cards, but a card cannot be duplicated more than once. We have 3 WD4s, which means we have to read three more colored books, but those cannot be all 6 Green for example, since we just had one of those in the cards we got this month and can only duplicate it once. However, we could read two 5 Blue for two WD4s, because we have two 5 Blue and we would be duplicating each only once. I hope this makes sense?

Total sense. Thank you for explaining it!
So just to make sure we're on the same page I'm covering:

Yellow 8 (6. character wears a suit)
Yellow 9 (21. someone leaves)
Blue 5 (22. glass on the cover)
Green 5 (11. character has a dog)

Correct?

They probably fit some of the mini tasks too but I haven't had a chance to dive into that yet. :) Had time to look ;P

It's a no for green :( However you don't have to stick to a 6 Green, you can choose whatever you want from 6/7/8/9 Yellow, 5 Blue, 5/6 Green. Don't read Fangirl if you're not on the right mood for it :)

Cyndee, are you ok with taking those 4 books? If so, this is what the plan looks like:

Diana> 9 Yellow (regular card)

Cyndee> 9 Yellow (WD4)
Cyndee> 5 Green (WD4)
Cyndee> 8 Yellow (WD4)

1 WD4 missing, which can be: 6/7/8/9 Yellow, 5 Blue, 5/6 Green (requires some shuffling on the SS, but all options are available). However if the edition that Tawni has on her shelf of is correct, we can use it for the last WD4 (duplicates a 8 Yellow). Tawni, do you think you'll finish it by the end of the month? If yes, then Gem, you don't have to worry about coloured covers!

Yep, no problem. Have them worked into my reading plan for the rest of the month.

I'm reading my current read, then will start fangirl. If the last WD4 gets covered by someone else ill read it slowly and use it next month (fingers crossed) or ill bash it out before month end :)

Also, please add Restore Me and Serpant & Dove to your Read shelf. They are in the Tracking spreadsheet but I couldn't find them anywhere. Also, do they count for the mini? Did you finish them on the 15th after the countdown reached zero?

Main challenge: only 34 books left*! All coloured cards an WD4 assigned (to Cyndee :) ). We are a tiny bit behind schedule, but I believe we'll be able to make it through :)

Mini challenge - part 1 (tasks): 15/25** (possibly 17 out of 25 if Jen's books count to the mini) - only 10 left!

I’m finishing up a longer read for my book club today and then I will be reading a bunch of shorter books to help us catch up! I will look through them in a bit to see what I can cover!

I'll be done with today...finishing it up now...for our Yellow 8. It also has a man in a suit if that's one we can move the other one for that around.

The book I have for the dogs is called Honor's Debt and it is also my Green 5 for the WD4.

I'll definitely fulfill my commitments prior to the end of the month, plus I'll have several others so don't stress over mine! For instance, I will also have All Grown Up and Untouchable that I'm reading this week and then a couple others next week as well that I haven't planned out yet.

No worries! I too seem to have been losing focus on work because of the coronavirus situation. I had a flight book to visit my family but don't dare it, and I am so sad about it :(

I found a book on my TBR pile that works for 1. Drink on the cover. :)

Noel, you have put 21. A book where someone leaves (going away for a long time, break up, death....). (Yuri) as an option for Orfe, can you tell me what exactly happens to Yuri, so that I can shuffle some things around?
