Mary (marilyss) | 5 comments Like everyone , except the awesome health care and food services warriors, I’m home. I have plenty of books, but always hungry for time travel ( to the past), good vampire books,But not the Suki or studly guy types please. More The Hunger. I enjoy novels that feature women”of a certain age over 40 ish. Also bios of early Film actors, esp .silents but into early 1940’s ok.
Anything really good. Thanks. This is my first discussion post, be gentle!

Kristie | 5905 comments Welcome, Mary! I also enjoy historical fiction. I'm guessing that's what you meant by time travel to the past? Unless you meant literal time travel in books, in which case I misunderstood and would recommend Kindred. Some parts can be difficult to read, but I find that's the case with a lot of historical fiction as well. I hope you find something of interest in my recommendations.

Historical Fiction:
The Huntress
Moloka'i
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
Before We Were Yours
A Gentleman in Moscow
The Alice Network
The Secret Life of Bees

Vampires:
The Passage
Dread Nation

Women of a 'certain age':
Britt-Marie Was Here
