I collect Christmas books all year long and start reading them after the first snowfall in my area. It doesn't matter which genre for me though. I read them all. :) However I had to start (and finished!) reading Once Upon a Regency Christmas. I just couldn't resist the fact that it was an anthology (love em') which had 3 of my favorite authors and was Christmas. There was no way I could put that book in my C-TBR pile.~ Kim

Oh, then it will be a perfect gift for my aunts! They love the "long on suspense" ones.

I'm so sorry I forgot to post here about what I was reading for the past couple of months. I've been sharing most of my reading in a different thread, Help me pick what to read Winter 2016 /topic/show/...

But, I think this is an important thread of conversation to have so I hope if I get back into the habit of posting my reading, you will too!

I just finished reading The Wedding Game by Christine Merrill. Older sister trying to protect younger sister in her debut. Ambitious man wanting to make a marriage to advance his political hopes. :)

I'm currently reading One Hot December by Tiffany Reisz. Super hot 3rd book in the Men at Work series. Loving the heroine who is a welder and artist. She's making lots of changes and Ian just can't get her out of his mind. LOL

I'm trying to decide between starting another historical or another winter themed or the Valentine anthology that is extremely tempting on the top of my TBR pile but if I read it now, I won't have it next month. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

The Wedding Game by Christine Merrill One Hot December (Men at Work, #3) by Tiffany Reisz

Robin Reynolds (octoberwomanrobin) I'll be finishing The Bride Wore Size 12 tonight, the last book in Meg Cabot's Heather Wells series. I'm enjoying it, though not quite as much as the previous book, Size 12 and Ready to Rock, which I think was the best entry in the series. Probably because there was more Cooper in it, who I adore.

I've finished Unwrapping His Convenient Fiancee by Melanie Milburne family friend to lover, over-coming a troubled past, and One Hot December by Tiffany Reiszwhich was just as good as the first 2 in the series.

I've started A Convenient Christmas Wedding by Regina Scott and Holiday with the Mystery Italian by Ellie Darkins, a new-to-me author!

:) Laundry can always wait if there is a good book in hand.

Paula Ratcliffe (paulacbs) | 5 comments I love this new book I bought it yesterday I love going back to Sullivan's Crossing! Any Day Now (Sullivan's Crossing, #2) by Robyn Carr

message 244: by AG (new)

AG Reads (agreadstoo) I finished Forsaken. It is so refreshing to read about mature characters who actually manage to act like adults. I really enjoyed the sort of low-key romance between Maddie and Bently and the way they took care of their responsibilites first, with their growing feelings subtly intertwined but not turning them into raging hormones. Don't get me wrong, I love a good, hot as fire book, too. But I appreciate that Ms. Daniels didn't make her main couple attempt the deed on horseback in the middle of a blizzard or some such nonsense. ;-)

message 245: by Anita (new)

Anita (anitanodiva) | 75 comments BJ Daniels writes realistic families too. Their lives are not perfect and neither are the members.

message 246: by Pam (new)

Pam | 163 comments I have decided to go on. binge and read some Diana Palmer I just found at a used book store the first 5 or 6 Long Tall Texan series. I am going to try to read the series in order or at least the first 15 or so there are many. i i have read most of the series but never sequentially. i like to that to see the writer and characters evolve. sometimes the metamorphosis is good occasionally the series can take a bad turn. sometimes i dislike Palmer's heroes they can be too crude and heroine too innocent to fight back therefore hurting the heroine almost to the point that it is unforgiven.. not a fan of that.

message 247: by AG (new)

AG Reads (agreadstoo) I picked up After Hours by Gina Wilkins. It is one of her older books and maybe a little dated, but I love this author. She has a way of creating interesting characters that have just enough quirk to be endearing. Or sometimes a lot of quirk, like in A Stroke of Genius. Either way, I always look forward to reading her books.

message 248: by AG (new)

AG Reads (agreadstoo) I came across Rescue At Cradle Lake - Romansa Di Cradle Lake Rescue At Cradle Lake - Romansa Di Cradle Lake by Marion Lennox while searching for medical romances. What a truly fabulous book! It dealt with some tough issues and no easy fix, but the HEA was worth the hard journey. Loved it.

Now I am starting Crave Me (Luminous #2) by Stacey Lynn from Carina Press.
