Liz/Abagail witnessed a violent crime and was placed in the Witness Protection Program. There was a leak in the US Marshalls and her safe house was found she was told by her protector to run when he got shot. She fled the house before it exploded and was on the run and in hiding for 12 years.

Matt visited Tulum, Mexico alone. He was to be escorted by a FBI agent but they failed to show so ended up going alone. Also visited his brother in jail who did not want any family members especially his siblings to visit.
