Hey, everyone! Checking in. I have a lot of books planned for the month but I don't think most of them will fit in any of the categories for bonus points.
Also quite a few are club reads on another site that are read through the month, so many won't be finished and posted till toward the end of August.

You can read for any line you want and for any task you want. Lines and tasks do not need to be read in an order. You will get bonus points by completing a line. You can do a task multiple times.

A little update for the Amsterdam - task: there were some questions about the ditch on the cover, so I changed it into 'the letters D, I, T, C and H in the title/series name/author name'. Maybe that will be easier to complete.

I’ve got a book for almost all categories, so am hoping to complete all of them at least once.

Apparantly I’m doing terrible at picking books for this challenge so if anyone wants to give me to one to read I’ll just go off the recommendation

Hi Abbie, sorry, you don't do it terrible, absolutely not. There are just some tricky tasks. Please, take your time to find a good book that you enjoy reading. It's the fun that comes first, than the challenge.

Abbie, I found two other prompts that your books would count for, so I've moved them to those instead, so they haven't been wasted xx

For Paris I have - cheap on Kindle at the moment.
For London I was going to do if either of you fancies it.

Tokyo, Beijing, Cairo and Antananarivo could also work. It will all depend how easy it is to get a book that we all have access to.

I was going to read The Arc by Ben Oliver for a computer book

The good thing about this challenge is we can read each multiple times. We don't have to complete the whole set before starting another line (I think).

there are quite a few lines I think where we are showing as having 2, overall I think we are doing really well but the leaderboard has not yet been updated.

Does anyone know if you can use one book for two themes because I feel like we could effectively do an MC getting rejected for a part and also getting drunk as I don’t recall seeing it in the rules?

I am debating reading divergent again for the dystopian one as it’s a very quick and easy read x

You can only use a book for 1 task.
And I’ll buddy read divergent with you just let me know when you want to start

I can start it whenever I’ve only got about 70 pages left in the book I’m doing so will finish that today but not sure how the buddy reads work 100% do we need to do it in a thread?

It takes a while for information to go in sometimes with three young kids so sorry if I seem dumb sometimes x

I’m flying home from vacation today! So I’ll start reading again from tomorrow onwards, because I still have a few days off :) I’ll have a look tomorrow which prompts my planned reads fit. Great job so far everyone!

Hope you had a lovely holiday, and thank you I appreciate it, I don't want to let a team down but I have been hovering for a while but since the baby doesn't really sleep I just read to pass the time but my brain definitely isn't working as well as it can x

13 left to finish the first board and we’re knocking out 3 within the next few days that are Buddy reads. We’re doing great!

Easy to forget we’re only at the end of week one. Im aiming to try and read at least one book for each category through the month, but if necessary I’ll focus on filling gaps as we move on.

Thanks guys! I did have a great vacation, but sadly my flight is getting more and more delayed, so that’s an annoying ending for sure 😭 It’s 2,5 hours delayed at this point, hoping it won’t become more again�

Look into compensation policies for the airline my mum was delayed coming home from turkey years ago and they got �400 per person as it was over 4 hours x

Damn that’s a lot, will definitely look into that! I’m scared they’ll say it wasn’t long enough or something lol but I also really don’t want it to be longer

When they say graffiti/safari/ditch do they mean if you can find it in the authors name, series name, and the book name or does it mean if it is in the authors name, series name, or the book name?

Those just need to have the letters featured in the title/series/author’s name.

So than would the grandest game by Jennifer Lynn Barnes have any of them?
