Well, since you're not competing against anyone (except yourself) we're pretty flexible on the rules for this type of challenge. Most people will select a level before the challenge officially starts (or when they sign up if they sign up later than that), but I guess there's no reason that you really have to do it that way. You can always adjust your level up though, so if you want you can start at a low level and change it if you find you're listening to more than you'd expected. It's all just for fun though, so do whatever is most comfortable for you! 😀

Hey, all you audiobook fans!
It's been quite a while since we've had an audiobook challenge! Everyone seemed to like this one the last time, so we're dusting it off and giving it another shot. The rules are simple. Just pick your level, then pick from the lists of genres and characteristics you want to use, and start listening! You are welcome to pick any features that appeal to you, and they can be listened to in any order. Features can be used multiple times, but only once within each genre, so the more genres you use, the more times you can use a given feature. There are no limits on length except for the few rules where it is specified. Rereads/relistens are allowed. You may read small portions of a book you use in this challenge, but in order for a book to qualify you must listen to at least 75% of it.
Now let's get to the good stuff!
First, pick your level:
Occasional Listener - 5 books
Commute Listener - 15 books in a minimum of 2 genres
Steady Listener - 20 books in a minimum of 3 genres
Heavy Duty Listener - 30 books in a minimum of 4 genres
Earbuds are Fused to My Ears - 40+ books in a minimum of 5 genres
Genres to choose from:
Contemporary Romance
Historical North American
Historical - European
Historical - All Others
Inspirational/Christian
Paranormal
Urban Fantasy
Mystery/Suspense
Time Travel
Futuristic
Erotica/Erotic Romance
LGBT+
Sci-Fi
Steampunk
Young Adult
New Adult
Classic
Horror
General Fiction
Non-Fiction
There is obviously plenty of room for overlap among the genres listed...if a book fits in more than one, feel free to use whichever one works best for you. Also, since this is a Romance group, for almost all of the genres listed above, if they are also MPG Romance I will consider it a different genre than if they aren't MPG Romance. For example, The Witness (MPG Romance and Romantic Suspense) could be considered a different genre from A Time to Kill (MPG Suspense but not MPG Romance). The only exceptions to this would be Contemporary Romance, Erotica/Erotic Romance, General Fiction and Non-fiction.
Now, pick the features you want to find in your audiobooks:

Second Chance Author (one you've given up on for whatever reason)
Favorite Narrator
