Nice books! The summary for the last one sounds very good!

message 19: by Lisarenee (new)

Lisarenee | 7659 comments Amanda, I can't wait for Shadowfever to come out. I love Monings books. A few months ago I picked up the first 6 books of the BDB series at a thrift store. One of these days I'm going to reread them all. May need to check out the Chicagoland Vampires series.

Sabrina, Let me know how you like the Morganville Vampires series. I haven't read them yet.

message 20: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (daughterofoak) | 3473 comments So far I've only read one BDB book and I'm hooked. The problem is that I have to wait to get it from my library and everyone else seems to be reading the same series. The Chicagoland Vampires series is wonderful! I would recommend it to anyone who likes to read paranormal fic.

message 21: by Sashana (new)

Sashana I hate when I request books from the library and there’s a long waiting list so I feel your pain, Amanda. I love the Chicagoland Vampire series! I was going to give up reading it after the first book but I stuck to it and it’s now a favorite of mine.
And I finally got the books that I requested from the library. YAY ME!! I’ll be reading most of them for some reading challenges so I’m excited to start :)

I checked out The Count of Monte Cristo, The Maze Runner, The Time Traveler's Wife, Paper Towns, The Kite Runner, and Water for Elephants.

message 23: by Sashana (new)

Sashana Lacy I'm excited for you! Richelle Mead is my favorite author and I don't think you can go wrong with VA. I'll be asking you about that one soon :). I read Raised by Wolves and I thought it was okay but I never read Zen and the Art of Vampires before.

Sashana! I feel for ya, I really do! The library just sent me a pick up for Mockingjay but my friend lent it to me.

Johnathan, will be very curious as to your thoughts about Marked & Betrayed..

Unapologetic_Bookaholic Ah yes one of my FAVE PNR/UF series. Cat and Bones rock!

I requested The Hunger Games a few days ago. It sounds like a good read =D.

Carol Cork *Young at Heart Oldie* (httpsrakesandrascalswordpresscom) I have requested Blue-Eyed Devil (Travises, #2) by Lisa Kleypas and Smooth Talking Stranger (Travises, #3) by Lisa Kleypas

I'm super jealous. I checked my library for this book but they didn’t have it, which is surprising because my library has almost everything that I request. Then I checked the good reads swap and some other online swaps but they didn’t have it either. This book is harder to get than Obama. Looks like I’m going to have to buy it.

Lacy, I will be sure to write a thorough review on both Marked and Betrayed

message 37: by Sans (new)

Sans Just got back from the library and a large portion of my holds came in. Good lord, I need more time in each day. Or to never have to sleep. I could get a lot of reading done if I didn't have to sleep.

Right now I'm trying to decide what I should read first out of the following:

Assassin's Honor (The Order of the Sicari, #1) by Monica Burns Broken Wing by Judith James Not Quite Married by Betina Krahn Pleasure for Pleasure (Essex Sisters, #4) by Eloisa James My Unfair Lady by Kathryne Kennedy Romeo, Romeo (Domestic Gods, #1) by Robin Kaye Dark and Stormy Knights by P.N. Elrod I Love This Bar (Honky Tonk, #1) by Carolyn Brown

message 38: by Sashana (new)

Sashana I say you read Dark and Strormy Knights first. It looks intresting :)

When I come back from the library with a lot of books I never know what to read first.

message 39: by Sans (new)

Sans Seriously. I had listed only half the books I picked up. I knew the others weren't going to be as interesting as these.

message 40: by Sashana (new)

Sashana How many did you check out?

message 41: by Sans (new)

Sans Er, 21. I have 14 more on hold that haven't come in yet.

message 42: by Sashana (last edited Sep 05, 2010 02:17PM) (new)

Sashana Lol, well good for you. The last time I went to the library (last week) the check-out machine ran out of paper :)

message 43: by Sans (new)

Sans I say that's a good day and the trip was well worth it if you make the machine run out of paper. ^_~

message 44: by Sashana (new)

Sashana It was! It even made the librarian smile.

message 45: by Sashana (new)

Sashana I love the cover for Angelolgy. I hope you get them real quick.

message 46: by Lisarenee (new)

Lisarenee | 7659 comments Sans, Did you read the books prior to Eloise James' Pleasure for Pleasure books? I think I've got that one on my shelf. Bought it.

Carol, I loved Blue Eyed Devil BED - gottta love the acronym. Wonder if Kleypas did that on purpose? Don't get me started about Smooth Talking Stranger. I love Jack! *sigh*

Sashana, You should look at some of your local thrift stores. I find tons of books there and they are in great condition. Most have been read once and then given away. Sometimes it feels like a treasure hunt.

message 47: by Sans (new)

Sans Lisa, will you believe me if I tell you I haven't read any of Eloise James' books before? I think I originally picked this one up because it didn't look like it was part of a series. And having just double checked I find I'm very wrong. Bugger.

message 48: by Heather (new)

Heather | 504 comments Almost all of my library requests have come in!!! I have to pick up by the 14th & 15th: Lisa Kleypas's Autumn, Davidson's Undead and Jennifer Crusie's latest which of course the title escapes me. How the hell am I going to read all of them, plus the 776 pages of The Passage and the 4 other books on request?

message 49: by Sashana (new)

Sashana Heather, I didn't know that Jennifer Cruise had a new book. Thanks for the heads up.

Haha, I guess it's better to have too many books to read than to have nothing to read at all. I know what you mean though, I have a stack of library books to read and I'm like when the heck am I going to read all of these (I'm trying really hard to avoid late fees, which I suck at).

message 50: by Heather (new)

Heather | 504 comments Oh yeah! Of course, the title is escaping me right now. Hmm, hold on, and I'll check.. OK, the title is Maybe This Time. Check it out as it looks really good.

Yeah, it is better to have too much to read than nothing at all. I feel slightly overwhelmed but I am hoping to get through all of them.
