Amy | 6 comments Hi All,

My name is Amy. Been reading a lot of the listed authors for about the last year and a half. Thought I would check in and see if I can find more books to enjoy along my journey. Sometimes it is hard to find books that I can enjoy so it is good to get input from others along the way.

message 402: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4718 comments Welcome Amy! Always plenty of recs for new books around here :D

message 403: by Alisa (last edited Jan 11, 2013 01:41AM) (new)

Alisa Glad to have you Amy. Check out our What Are You Reading section. Members post what book they're currently reading & you will find a lot of good suggestions there. Also check out our Meet the Mods section. Each day this month we are highlighting one of our favorite authors & some of their books. Should give you some ideas.

Lisarenee | 2046 comments Hi Karen,

I love Karen Chance too. Are you up to date on her books? Which of her two intertwining series to you like better?

message 408: by Alisa (new)

Alisa welcome Karen!

message 409: by Deborah (new)

Deborah (dborahreads) | 3 comments Hi my name is Deborah from Brooklyn, NY and I love paranormal and urban fantasy along with almost every kind of romance novels. I decided to join your group because I was interested in your book of the month Leader of the pack. So I bought it and I am looking forward to discussing this with the group.
Happy reading all :-)

message 410: by Lisarenee (new)

Lisarenee | 2046 comments Hi Deborah.

Sounds like we have similar tastes. I read a ton of romance and when you mi it with paranormal or urban fantasy I reach a state of reading bliss. lol

message 411: by [deleted user] (new)

Thank you Lisarenee and Alisa
As to your question Lisarenee I am up -to -date on both of Karen Chance
Have to say Dory book would be my favourite set

message 412: by Lisarenee (new)

Lisarenee | 2046 comments Karen, I like the Dory series slightly more too. Too bad it's the shorter of the two series. It's funny how there is a slightly different feel to the two of them even though they take place in the same world.

message 413: by Alisa (new)

Alisa Welcome Deborah!

message 414: by Zoe (new)

Zoe Forward (zforward) | 4 comments Hello. I'm Zoe. Super excited to find a new group that might have some new recs on reads. I'm a voracious PNR reader, but also a writer with my debut paranormal coming out 3/1/13 (insert squee). I write action adventure PNR about a new kind of hero. All of us have read about every type of story involving vampires, weres, shapeshifters, fae, and demons...and loved 'em all. But I wanted to pen something new and created that new kind of hot badboy.

I didn't realize you liked PNR and UF until the other day when I noticed you posted something about it and was going to send you an invite, but hadn't gotten around to it.

message 429: by Mary (new)

Mary (merinwe) | 19 comments No worries, Lisarenee! I definitely read mostly YA these days, but I'm trying to get outside my comfort zone and read more genres in general.

message 432: by Lisarenee (new)

Lisarenee | 2046 comments Fandin,

I also love Doctor Who and my kids do as well. I especially love the new episodes but watch the golden oldies years ago with a group of friends in college on late night TV while eating pizza. It was a Sunday night ritual.

message 433: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)

Sandra | 4718 comments Mary wrote: "Sandra, who's your favorite Doctor?"

Well in the olden days it was Tom Baker, now ... probably David Tennant :D

It was replayed here at 6pm Monday to Thursday for about 6 or 7 yrs, over and over, then they'd have a break and then do the same thing again, for another 6 or 7 yrs. Needless to say, we watched it every night :D

We get the new series on replay now, I think we're doing the third or fourth run through. It was every week night at 7.30pm, now it's just Friday night. And I do love the Confidential short bit about how they made this or did that, at the end.

I grew up watching episodes of Star Trek and went to see Star Wars when it first hit the theaters. Love them both, but didn't get introduced to the Doctor until college. Then a friend told me they had new episodes. The new ones, special effects wise, rock. It's amazing what they can do now.

message 445: by Sandra, Need more time to Read!! (new)
