My goodness - you will have all of your reading material ready - with the blocks on electronic devices- now only on direct flights from certain locations to the US - you will be ready.

Alisa (mstaz) Spring is the busy season for book tours, and I have been to two author speaking events in the last two nights. Since book sellers are always part of the sponsorship, it seems only suitable to buy a book! I've already read Bryan Stevenson's book and it is brilliant. Highly recommend. He is also a very compelling speaker. Tonight was Chris Hayes, the news analyst who has a show on MSNBC. Thought provoking, also very engaging speaker. Picked up his newly published book, as well as something fron last night's event. The to-read pile is growing! Two more events next month.

Just Mercy A Story of Justice and Redemption by Bryan Stevenson by Bryan Stevenson Bryan Stevenson
The Fire This Time A New Generation Speaks about Race by Jesmyn Ward by Jesmyn Ward Jesmyn Ward
A Colony in a Nation by Christopher L. Hayes by Christopher L. Hayes Christopher L. Hayes

Alisa, you are reminding me of Aussie Rick and his long lists. I hope you have room for all of these books. Although I am very guilty of piling them up too. I have decided to gift my finished books to give others the pleasure of another read.

Dragon Hunter Roy Chapman Andrews & the Central Asiatic Expeditions by Charles Gallenkamp by Charles Gallenkamp ( no photo)

another:

Read a enough books on WWII that one about the home front seemed to supply some missing info. This book is a collection of newspaper columns, so the writing is dated.

This is Dutch YA from the 70's that I grew up reading, historical novels that for many people were their first introduction to the subject at hand. Terlouw's grassroots tale of the occupied Netherlands in '44-45 is joined here by Thea Beckman's books on minstrels during the Hundred Years' War around Poitiers (1356) and the city of Utrecht during the Eighty Years' War (1673).

I'm in love again. Bought on saturday, finished the lot yesterday.
