I firmly stated that I would NOT join another A-Z challenge this year after some of the difficulties finding a female character starting with "U" and such. However, I could not resist! There are lovely challenges for authors, books, male and female characters, shifters...

Then, inspired by Steph's ABC Series game right here on SOS, I realized what my self-challenge for 2011 would be. Yep, another A-Z challenge of SERIES! Please feel free to join me reading through the alphabet and enjoying many series!

How To:
Read one book of a series beginning with each letter of the alphabet using the first letter of the series name (can ignore a, an, the). The series do not have to be PNR/UF, but should have some element of paranormal in them.
*Re-reads and any format are allowed.
*Anthologies are not allowed.
*Duration: January 1 to December 31, 2011
**Please update original post--please include date read!**

Addendum
*For those really difficult letters (Q, Y and Z) the following alternatives are acceptable:
**main character' first or last name starts with Q, Y or Z
**author's first or last name starts with Q, Y or Z
*For the letter "X" the following alternatives are acceptable:
**main character, author or series name has the letter "x" in it (for example: Adrian Phoenix: The Maker's Song, and so on)
*You can join at any time, and include any book series you've read in 2011 as long as you include the date the book was read (i.e. if you join in February you can include books read in January as long as you know the completion date)

You have an entire year to find a book for every letter! Heck, I'll write a novel and title it beginning with your lonesome letter!

LOL! Lovely idea! If you could incorporate a female character with either her first or last name starting with the letter U....it would be such a tremendous help! And using a "u" at the start of the series name....that would take care of TWO problematic categories!

Oh what fun! I am going to assume they can be any book in the series. This should help a bunch. I will also assume fantasy and sci-fi would be paranormal enough? I have a lot of each on my TBR this year. (Maximum Ride, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Chronicles of Narnia and MAYBE Lord of the Rings.) I am reserving a spot and will work on my list. I can't resist. :)

I was really surprised at how few choices I had for series starting with T.

Fictfact.com was awesome for this. Just sort by series name and write down the next book you need/want to read.

That is exactly right! It's a good way to catch up on some series with just one book, try some new things, and any number in the series is just fine!

I had conflicting info for by Yasmine Galenorn. Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ say that the series is called 'Sisters of the Moon' whilst FictFact says 'Otherworld'. Soooo... I checked on Yasmine Galenorn's official site and found that the series can be called either. I'd say go with the GR listing, or whatever the author... who is, of course, the ultimate authority! ...allows on her/his blog.

Another example would be Sookie Stackhouse/Southern Vampire (well...those are both "S" so it wouldn't make much difference in the list, but hey....)
