I tried valiantly to finish Erica Spindler's BONE COLD last night but could not hold my eyes open. Will read last few pages tonight.
Reread a bunch of Baloghs. I had forgotten how compelling Christmas belle and a gentle conquest are. I am not as enamoured of a a secret affair bit it's still beautifully done.
And it reminded me of how wonderfully she puts us in the time period. The smallest details are right but it's more than that. They are woven into the story: when children are invited to a house party she points out that they can play in the gallery on rainy days. When the hero goes out to buy presents for children they are the right presents. When her characters have leisure time they play cricket and have tea with the children in the nursery. And I love the way her parents really interact with children even though they have nurses.... I never feel jarred by anachronisms but even more I feel persuaded by the detail.

I finished Just Like Heaven last night. I enjoyed it! Now I am reading Elizabeth Boyle's newest Lord Langley Is Back in Town.

Not recommended. Save your reading time for something better. I'm now back to my Silk & Seduction miniseries with The Viscount and the Virgin by Annie Burrows.
Finished Lord Langley is Back in Town, it was pretty good, but not as good as some of the others in that series. Right now I am starting Rafe's Redemption which is by a friend of mine, Jennifer Jakes. It is her first book. :)
I'm reading The Soldier by Grace Burrows and having a very mixed reaction. On the one hand, I find the writing and the relationships compelling. On the other hand, she's ignoring much of the basics of the time period--or perhaps that is the wrong word, since at one point she has the character be grateful that a rule only applies in London but not in the country, which was certainly not true. (At least, not the one about being in a young woman's bedroom.) And perhaps the relaitonships would be clearer if I had read the prior book, but that just seems like sloppy writing to me.

Finished up with The Other Woman by Autumn Dawn and planning on starting Rot & Ruin by Jonathan Maberry.
I finished the Soldier but can'd decide what I thought of it. I also read Mary Jo Putney's novella Wedding of the Century .Its a very compelling picture of a marriage getting off on the wrong foot, as many must have, but I don't find the HEA particularly compelling or believable.
Finished Vampire in Atlantis by Alyssa Day and started re-reading Kiss of a Demon King from Kresley Cole
I am going to start A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray. I have had the series for awhile, but just haven't gotten around to reading it.
