I stayed up waaay late reading Eona by Alison Goodman- still reading it. I've got a bazillion YAs I gotta get through but I'm in the mood for an adult para romance, so after Eona I'm going to read Pleasure of a Dark Prince by Kresley Cole.

I finished Rebecca this weekend. It was pretty good and kind of what I expected. I also read Once Upon a Winter's Eve by Tessa Dare, which was also pretty good. Last night, I started Anna and the French Kiss. I am only about 50 pages in, but it looks like it is going to be a good one too.

Irisheyes | 896 comments About two thirds through Jo Goodman's A Place Called Home and loving it. Thanks, Janga! Just what the doctor ordered. I was looking for a character driven, contemporary with real people whose lives I could get lost in. I found it and as a bonus it has kids (always a plus for me).

Theresa Romain | 420 comments Irisheyes, I'm reading Jo Goodman too! Elyssa recommended Marry Me, and I've been on a Western kick lately so it sounded perfect. A kindhearted worrywart doctor hero? Yes, please. I'm also reading Kaki Warner's Colorado Dawn. Great marriage-in-trouble story.

Irisheyes | 896 comments APCH is a contemporary, Theresa, but I'm always looking for quality westerns! I can't wait to dive into Colorado Dawn. Kaki Warner has become my new auto buy western author. I stumbled upon Cheryl St. John a while ago and love her also. I'm hoping westerns are making a comeback! I'll have to try Marry Me. If you're in the mood for a good contemporary, give APCH a try. You won't be sorry.

Theresa Romain | 420 comments Aha, thanks, Irisheyes! I didn't realize Goodman wrote contemporary too. I really like her voice (thanks, Elyssa!) and will definitely be looking for more by her.

Last night I started Cecilia Grant's A Lady Awakened. I'd meant to wait until I finished my WIP, but the buzz about ALA was too much for me. It's fantastic. Character-driven, which I love, and both hero and heroine are vulnerable but hiding it in very different ways.

Irisheyes | 896 comments Just finished APCH and absolutely loved it! I was really in the mood for a good contemporary and that really fit the bill. I'm now totally in love with Mitch.

I think I'll start on Anne Gracie's Bride By Mistake.

I'm in a reading slump now that I've finished all Lisa Kleypas's contemps aside from Sugar Daddy. I just don't want to read it. I want Rainshadow Road, darn it!!! *pouts*

Not sure what I'm going to choose from my towering TBR. It's not like I'm short of reading material at least.

I think this is Goodmans first contemporary. And darn it I just did the aar poll and couldn't think of a contemporary to name...

Finished the new Fifty Shades book, the last in the trilogy. Finally read Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase and No Place to Run by Maya Banks(I want it to be more like the Black Ops Inc series by Cindy Gerard, but unfortunately it isn't *sigh*).

I'm in a reading funk... Nothing seems to interest me at the moment... Not historical, contemporary, romantic suspense, para, erotica... Nothing. Grrrrr!!

Oh, no, Monica! I hope you'll get back into the swing of reading soon.

Monica, I try another genre when that happens. Sometimes you just neen something to cleanse the palate.

I'm certainly willing to give it a try. I do not like feeling this way... Thanks, Okie and Janga!
