I just finished it at lunch today...What an awesome book! I'm sorry it took me this long to finally get to it. She is officially one of my favorite Christian authors!

Karen is amazing and I LOVED Head in the Clouds!!! I think Short-Straw Bride is her best yet though!
I'm looking forward very much to reading To Win Her Heart & Short-Straw Bride...They sound wonderful!

Short Straw Bride is my FAVORITE of hers! I have read it twice since getting it. Of course the reading it twice was all within the same few days. I finished it, reviewed it, and promptly read it again!

I finished Tributary today --- Great book! :D
Just started this one

I just finished
today and enjoyed it VERY much...I only started it last night and I'm already done with it.
Getting ready to start

I love the Love Comes Softly Series! Books and Movies.

Planning to start

That was a pretty good series, though not one of my favorites of hers.
Have you read any other books by Linda Lee Chaikin?

I'm now about half-way through re-reading this one

Yeah, they are :)
I didn't like book 2 as much as books 1 & 3, but they're all good. I would recommend any/all of Susan May Warren's books. She's a great author! :)

I'm not sure what I'll read next... I've got a couple from the library, some from my sis-in-law, & a bunch on my kindle. Oh! I hate having to choose! :oP

The "Hangman's Daughter" series is well written. The violence of the torture is a little sickening. He does it because he is forced to as his ancestors did the same. The 'job' is passed down through the line. This really happened in their country. The author of the books learned about his lineage and that gave him info for the fiction books.

@Abigail - I think you'll like it... :)

Thanks,
Valerie Hansen
