Code Red is yet another Mitch Rapp banger from Kyle Mills, which only makes me grieve his departure from the series more.

As always the twists and turns in the plot left me turning pages far past my bedtime. But it wasn’t only the action in hot zone settings like Syria that pulled me in. It was also the masterful way Mills tends to humanizes Mitch with his family bonds and close friendships. Loved the banter between him and Maslick and of course Coleman. His relationship with Anna always gets me right in the heart.

And nobody writes the villains we love to hate better than Mills. It’s such a pleasure to see how Mitch outsmarts the smartest of his enemies.

So grateful to Kyle Mills for continuing this amazing series. And very sad to see him go. I wish you all the best, Kyle, and can’t wait to read what you’re cooking up for us next.
