Incredibly enjoyable story of what took Simu Liu and his family from China to Canada, then to the US and into the MCU. Simu's voice is engaging and easy to read, his story a moving one, a real rags to riches tale, one of struggles and difficulties and overcoming significant hurdles to live his dream of becoming an actor. Highly recommended.

This was an action-packed book with crossovers between the real (if futuristic) world and another, even more futuristic.
I'm not sure if this author has written something earlier in this world, but I'd be interested in reading more about what led to Mannahatta becoming the world that's described. Although the author mentions some things, I think it would be great to experience them along with the characters, especially when they first encountered ...more
