it was amazing
This is a re-read, so I'll focus on my perspective now (vs when it came out and I wasn't event 18 yet...I feel old).

Grave Peril is interested in that it's one of the Dresden Files books I have vague memories of, but I couldn't have told you the plot before I reread it. The scene at the Red Court ceremony stuck with me, as did the intro scene with the ghost in the hospital nursery, but I had forgotten almost everything else about this book...

it was amazing
I LOVED A Darker Shade of Magic and I was excited for this book. When it came out, I was afraid I might need to reread the original trilogy before jumping into this new entry. While there was a bit of disorientation, the setup for the first 3/4 of the book jumps back and forth between just after the last trilogy ended and seven years later.
