This book is so dark, incredible and worth the hype, I dug in yesterday and spent the night questioning my judgement. Largely an allegory of the end of World War 2, it's a stark look at Colonialism and all the evil that comes along with it. it holds no punches in regards to racism and violence, and it left me in a dark place. The violent nature is pretty on par with the atrocities that did happen. Deep and upsetting.
