I'm not from USA and I'm not a native English speaker. I'm from Europe. I don't know how it works in America, but in my country there are too many examples that a bad publicity and drama around someone can make him/her 5 times more popular than it was before. With that said, I don't think SH will get what he deserve unfortunately. And it's sad that all the talking would probably make him even more readable :( You have too many blogs, sites, etc. where you write about the authors you love which is making the punishment even more difficult. I unfollowed him here in GR and I won't buy any of his future books. Please tell me if I can do anything to help, because what he did was awful and I feel ashamed I didn't know anything about him when I bought his books and said I'm a true fan...

Good to hear authors like Leta Blake and Dani Alexander are engaging. I agree that spreading the word is the way to go. And in the age of #metoo the uncovering of liars, harassers, abusers and bullies gains momentum more easily. We are finally listening to each other and no longer keeping quiet! That is what will keep this from blowing over.

It´s not an author, is a reader, and I´m one of the people he had called a lot of things. He´s friend with Vanessa, Megan, Santino, etc and one of the most toxic persons that I meet in the genre.

I think I should say that others authors have spoken without names like Avery Cockburn, J.C. Long, Xen/Cole McCade and others with their likes.

If there is all this evidence of fraud and bullying towards respected members of the ŷ������ and m/m blogging community , why are so many people still supporting him? What is so appealing about SH? Always seemed to be trying to hard to be "gritty" and "real" to me.

Not only with the fact that this bullying/harassment just ruined something good you had here but also with the proportions this has taken JUST because of a bloody review. The horror. It's your space and it's your opinion. We have no obligation at all to like all books we read. In fact, readers who only toss 4 and 5 stars are not trusted by me.

I just want to say a huge Thank you to all the individuals that have bravely come forward with their stories.

I was never a SH fan (pretty much hated “his�� stuff immediately) but I have several close friends who loved the books. So I completely understand why they’re fighting so hard to get the truth out. I hope all this shines a light on a truly horrible individual!

Keeping fighting the good fight, you are all amazing.

Took them time to response anything. Soon I will know if I’m ever going to buy from Riptide again.

That’s the part that concerns me too. It doesn’t make all of these people’s experiences with “him�� any less valid either. I’m sure he’s going with they’re stalkers and doxxers. Watch. That will be what is said.

Well I'm keeping my expectations low. What could Riptide, or any other publisher, do other than drop SH? They're in the business of making money. Will the bad publicity counter the money SH books make? It's a business, its all it cares about. So I wouldn't be surprised if they find a way to skirt the middle.

I am surprised though Riptide posted anything about it all. And refunding preorders? It's been a while since I bought anything from them but they always refused to do so in the past.

This who thing just blows my mind. And it shouldn't. This crap happens all the time. It's fantastic you all are finally talking about it.

If that's true, Sarah Lyons is unethical and unprofessional. I hope Riptide is looking into her behavior as well as Hassell's.

I am sure Riptide will side with Shamtino. They know who the make the checks out to. It may not be Alicia Torres... but she gets the money.

Blah. I can't read Riptide books anyway even though a favorite author of mine is over there. I can't do it. I can't support them when North is way too involved. I see books I really want to read but look the other way.

I still don't believe this was any fault of the publishers. What he's said and done to people is on him and maybe on his friends of they weren't duped as well.

I'm not faulting the publishers, other than Riptide right now - just stating who else they published with.
