somehow I am confused by how Hitler read Nietzsche wrong when he says things like "Ye say it is a good cause which halloweth even war? I say unto you: it is the good war which halloweth every cause. War and courage have done more great things than charity." There doesn't seem to be much confusion in his meaning. People give a pass to nietzsche, he did tout the things hitler thought he did.
