Jericho = Most boring "love interest" EVAH. Make me VOMIT. I prefer Woodhouse and Sam Lloyd way more than the brick that is Jericho.

Well, now, time for the sequel bait! The story is basically over, but gotta have that hook for the next one! #notagain #didyoureallyneedthat

And I'm hoping the end comes soon, because I'm kinda feeling burned out.

Yet another reason to love this book: Evie doesn't break down when Uncle Will and the pendant are shuttle off to jail. Instead, SHE actively begins to think of another plan, and Jericho HELPS. Evie = Female Protagonist WIN.

Jericho/Evie: NOT A FAN. WHY did this have to happen? Also, seem to have hit a boring spot, with Jericho spending way too much time on his past and Evie mooning over his golden chest. DO NOT CARE. I'd rather she hook up with Theta, if Theta wasn't already with Memphis. Jericho belongs with Mabel!!

WHOA! Theta's story is so tragic, but in all the right ways, with the craft of a deft author! I don't think I've ever seen abortion done so well in a novel, if at all!

Theta's story is HEART-rending. HEART-rending, even for this old curmudgeon-y soul. But I would definitely bump up the recommended reading age - nothing explicit, but there IS domestic violence and marital rape.

And REDACTED died :( (At first, I actually wrote out who it was, but I figured that may be spoilery and I try REALLY REALLY HARD not to be that way!)

Evie uncovers the history of "Naughty" John Hobbs.

And Evie tells Uncle Will about her power. Well done - neither too late to be helpful but not also done sloppily without proper backup.
